The 20 FXX owners are selected by Ferrari. They drive at various racetracks around the world with the Ferrari techs and collect data. Ferrari said the primary purpose of the FXX program is to collect data.
Rest assured, you don't just walk into a Ferrari dealership and buy an FXX. You are selected to buy one, and you have to drive for Scuderia Ferrari. 99.9999999% of celebrities won't even be considered, since they probably won't even know what an apex is.

I wonder how they got the car on the truck, with the incline of the ramp and all. I'd be afraid to go up my driveway in that thing, let alone a flat-bed truck

I think some of those beds not only tilt but slide way out, then tilt so they can reduce the incline. Otherwise... 2x4's stacked to act as steps maybe?

Then again, Ralph Lauren had a 959 registered before the new law was passed a few years ago, so anything is possible with money.
Dealer tags or not, the car isn't supposed to be driven on public streets, period. The car itself isn't eligible for registration, and a dealer tag isn't going to change that. Hell, the car doesn't even have tailights.
Eh, I'm just bitter because I'm jealous.
