Whick VW Golf would u get?

ok it will be a 2001 VW golf...both are manual
first one is a 1.8 turbo with 150HP
second choice 2001 VW golf VR6 with about 176 HP
which one would u get?
isn't 1.8 turbo model slower than VR6 model from 0~60 or quarter mile?
thanks

If you're getting a used one and its soon to be or already is out of warranty get the 1.8t and chip that sucker.

get the 1.8, the quickest and simplest mod is upgrade the turbo and install a chip, u'll see a huge performance gain without spending a lot.

R32 would be the way to go even though that fucker is heavy. I had a '98 GTI VR6...so I'd definitely have to say VR6 all the way...cant really mod those to do too much more...that's what civics are for anyways.

We've had 4 VWs in the family. VR6's are bulletproof engines, and the way to go. If you're looking for speed and mods, 1.8T.

R32, but if not get the 1.8T and mod it! Those engines are also pretty reliable.

1.8 cars handle better as they are lighter engines by 200 lbs, but the VR6 has that great low end torque.
