What would you do? car related, sorta

Here is the Deal.

A friend of mine has a E90, BMW 325i (2006). There is this company out there, that makes intakes and starts with the name "F", who needed a testing vehicle because their first batch of intakes made for this car had problems (engine would stall on the MT model at 80 mph+)

They said they would provide a free intake as a return for using the car for testing.

So, my friend and I take the car, about a 2 hour drive each way from where we live to the place. Leave it there for the one night they said they need it. Next day, we drive back again, pick it up, and head home, only to notice the problem hasn't been fixed.

We take it back again, drive back. I believe the third time we go back, the guy was real apologetic, and said he would also reimburse us for gas, throw in a free extra filter, and the intake of course.

The only change that had to be done to the intake was that it had to be moved down a few inches with a small bend. He said it would only take about a week to two weeks.

It's been close to three months, I've started e-mailing him about a month ago, with no response. He would usually respond within the next day prior to us coming down. I called him once and he just said his boss is still thinking about if they should even consider changing the intake or not? And when I asked him how long it's going to take he said he doesn't know.

At this point I'm just thinking...dude it's been 3 months, about 8 hours of driving...I don't see my promised gas money, intake, nor the filter! The least you can do is tell me how long it might take around, or answer my numerous e-mails?

I really think they are just jerkin me around until I forget about it, but what would you guys do?

If this is your friends car, and not actually yours, why are you getting involved?
If you are talking about gas money owed to you because you were driving your friend back and forth, why are you paying for the gas instead of him??

Sorry, just kind of confused...

If it's his car, shouldn't he be doing the legwork?
