Typically 13.1- 13.2 for the 6 speed manual

The SMG is actually not quite as quick. Maybe another tenth or two slower.

Someone at the Roadfly board ran a 13.0X with a 6-speed manual, he posted a video...

SMG will be faster if you use the launch control funtion, the US spec drops at 1800, I think. Euro-spec SMG dumps the clutch at 4500 and your warranty is voided with 30 drops. Fast, but abusive...

You're right about the launch control being about 1800 rpm, but the real launch control is Euro only.

With the U.S. spec SMG, a good manual driver can easily beat the SMG car out of the hole.

Maybe so, but it no stick driver will shift better than SMG at the track. Perfect rev-matched downshifts every time

Wouldn't that have to be a really really really excellent driver?

I dunno.... Read this months Car and Driver. They managed to get a 6 speed M3 to beat an SMG M3. 0-60 took .2 seconds less in the manual trans car.

I was reading in some mag lately that the 6 speed runs 13.1 and the SMGII runs 13.4. The SMGII in Auto mode ran 13.6.
