I'd prefer a coupe, I generally think they look better than sedan's. Sporty is important to me.

Right now I'm still heavily leaning towards the 135 because of it's brute strength

i really like the styling of the new TT's, i think i'd be a tough choice between that and the 1 series. why not test drive them back to back and decide? if it's gonna be a weeked car, all i would be worried about is looks and driving characteristics
i wouldn't get a red car tho, looks kinda girly to me(and what's with those dealer pics, they were taken when it was getting dark out so you can barely see any details). I saw a black TT in the summer with aftermarket wheels and i was def impressed

Just a FYI, the Genesis coupes alre already hitting dealerships. However, I believe each dealership is only getting 1 and that is the V6 model. In a few weeks dealerships should be getting more coupes, and that should include the 2.0T w/ stick.

agreed. The new TT looks pretty mean. I'm just worried that if I buy it I will be kicking myself because I am missing out on the performance of the 135.

Basically:

Looks=TT
Performace=135

I need the car that combines them in that price segment.

370z can be polarizing but in terms of performance that's probably your best bet.

I'd get the TT. Yeah the 135i is faster but it's not especially attractive. It looks like a plain old BMW sedan. The TT has presence.

I've been considering the TT and 135i as my next car as well and definitely agree with the statement above. Will it be looks or performance?

The 135i with or without chip tuning will run rings around the Audi, but the look of the car itself is... At least to me. Man, but with some chip tuning you can turn a beast into a monster.

The TT on the other hand, looks sharp and stylish. I also don't see too many MK2's on the road compared to the bulbous MK1's, so there's some appeal there. The only other advantage I'd give the Audi is interior and AWD.

For me, I'd probably end up getting the TT or TTS. Most of my time is spent in traffic, so I don't really need the extra power of the 135i. I prefer the looks and the fact there aren't many on the road compared to BMW's.

My thinking is the opposite of yours. Because it's more of a weekend car, performance is more important to me.

The 135i will probably hang with the TT-RS for christsakes. Audi pricing on the TT line is bizarro world
