What do you guys think of this car?

Mid year I will probably be making a purchase. I was set on a 135 for a long time, but I want to consider all my options. What do you guys think of this? Any other suggestions? I can't go with a 2 seater.

well r you looking for performance and tuning possibilities? because AUDI has nothing for those 3.2. 2.0T can be moded and made much much faster then a 3.2. I like the TT in general tho and I would definitelly drive one

I think it's a great looking car.

You'd think they'd bother to clean the car first though.

I don't really need practical. I am single, no kids. I only drive really on the weekends. Not a homeowner. I need four seats because i do sometimes drive others around, but not all the time. I just want something fun to drive around in on weekends when I run errands and go out at night.

well if you don't care about the modding then I say go for it. Even without modding this car its still quick and a really nice car. All the bitches will be all over you haha how about the a5 tho. I don't even know what those go for in US

You may want to seriously consider a MkV R32, essentially it is a TT in VW trim/body and is more practical, cheaper and if the previous generation R32 to is any indication of resale value will be a great car to own. I've seen 08 TT's with low miles as low as the high 20's, I know it depends how they are equipped. The rear seats of the TT are nearly useless, they can hold stuff, but for anything longer then a few miles are not at all comfortable for people over 100lbs.

I like the new TT, much better than the bulbous old one but I've never driven one.

I think we need more criteria..... i.e. really want good gas mileage, or a luxurious interior, or a small car? Bigger car?

Just get the 135i then. Those are pretty dope. Plently practical for DDing around too, and plenty of opportunities for extremely low mile 08's because of all the fanboys and spoiled college kids who couldn't really afford one

If you are going to get a TT....I'd get the 2.0T over the 3.2.

I want luxury, hence the interest in BMW and Audi.

I like Small cars. 3 series is the biggest I would go. TL, G35 sedan's, things like that are too big IMO.

Also, it looks like you can't get the 2.0 in a 6 speed.

Sounds like you'd love the A3. I am still in love with the A3 even after picking up an A4 Avant. it's nice they finally added the 2.0T with quattro on the A3. it's unfortunate you can't get it in manual though. they just can't get it right!!!!

in a way. The TT really interests me, but so does the 135. Kinda a tough decision.

I've owned an Audi before and the reliability was terrible?? Can anyone comment on the TT's reliability?

I'll be honest, someone I know here at work has the last gen TT and he complains about the reliability of his TT a lot, but like i've told a lot of people. Reliability of Audi's newer models has improved a lot! So since this is a 2008, you may have a good experience.

What I'd recommend is create an account at audizine.com or audiworld.com and ask guys over there what they think.

Then why are you looking at a TT?

...last I checked it had a hatch...not a trunk.

My guess is he meant "wagon" which is why I took serious offense to his derogatory comment.

I think he's talking about the boxy type of Hatchback.

That's always bothered me. I guess the body style is still considered a hatchback but what he probably prefers is a coupe instead of a boxy hatchback.

Would you prefer a coupe over a sedan?
