D16Y8? I'm pretty sure that's only on the EX, in which case it is VTEC. I don't think any DX's came with VTEC unless it was swapped.... in which case why the hell would they put a D-series in there?

The DX had the D16Y7 engine... no vtec. I owned a black 97DX in highschool. I loved that thing.

Not sure where the weight spec came from, but I am pretty sure on the others (Power, size, non vtec, single cam, etc).

but you forgot the 2000 lbs of saving from the ricers carbon fiber hoods and trunk lids.

we got a kid over by where i live Civic LX and coffee can exhaust 3 zillion stickers on it. he painted his trunk lid and hood jet black. i went up and felt it to see if it was carbon fiber. it's steel. what a dumbass.

you drop a B18C5 or C1 motor in that those cars would hustle.

When is it rice to add a carbon fiber hood or trunk? Sounds like a perfect way to improve your power to weight ratio. Sure the look isn't for everyone, but it's not rice.

Stickers are lame, yes. But there's nothing wrong with painting the trunk and hood. I see bimmers and audi pained like that all the time too. And done right can look down right sick.

You are a dubma$$.

Just wanted to clarify my smiley wasn't directed towards you at all. And any anger was directed at the idiots that go around jacking peoples cars.

There isn't a day that I don't drive my integra where I don't worry someone is following me to see where i live to jack my car.
