What car should I get?
I bought my 09 A4 /w Premium Plus for 33,500 before T&L...
Some of these prices people are coming up with are quite ridiculous. A4 doesn't go close to 50,000 unless you are adding every option available.
2.0T chipped gains 40hp/40lbft which takes it to 250/300, which is more than enough for a daily driver IMO.

If this power level is what you want, take a look at a Subaru Legacy GT. Auto or stick, the GT is about 250 HP, and can be easily modified for 300+, and it's true AWD like the Audi for a lot less money.
Given your list, I'd say A4>G37....
I stand corrected, the 2.0T in the 2009 model is at 258 lb-ft of torque. Not shabby at all for a 4 cylinder.
The day people put aside the number of cylinders as a determining factor of what a performance car is all about, is the day that more of the great performing and under acknowledged 4 cylinders will gain a better rep.

Legacy is another great car as well as the impreza although I have my own reservations as to the look of the 5 door impreza.
really waiting to the last minute?
just made a deal for a G37 sedan lease.
to be honest, i dont even know why someone would get an A4 over a G37. After comparing the two cars, feature for feature, the price point is a joke. You truly feel like you are getting raped by Audi.
IMO, in order to justify buying certain Audis, you must have a connection with an Audi dealer, a carefree sense of money, or be a true enthusiast.
Many selling points in cars today are found in innovative tech. packages. And at the end of the day, you will be spending an arm and a leg more to find moden tech. in an Audi. sh!t, it takes thousands of $$ just to get through the "step one / creature comfort" options on Audi, before you start dumping addtl money on the tech options

Haha, yeah I always wait til the last second for my decisions...
I'll probably make the decision today, leaning harder towards the G...as of right now.
It's pretty crazy how cheap the 1st Gen FX's have got though, I've seen some for 18-19k

When I bought my Infiniti I felt the exact same way - the audi's are totally priced out of the market for what they offer. Factor in questionable reliability, poor residual value and unreliable dealer support and the choice becomes much easier.
I liked it, I bought it in November of 06, the first weekend they were available. I kept it for 15 months, which was the shortest I ever kept a car before, I traded it in on 08 S2k. Aside from the fuel economy and how the weather was wearing, for what the car was, it was fantastic. Much like most cars made today, it is heavy and despite the efforts to make the suspension feel sporty, I preferred my TSX. In a straight line it was as fast as I could ever see myself needing a daily driver. I tend to drive like an old man so having a fast car just isn't very important to me, I prefer a nimble feeling car, which the G was not. In the low $30k range, if I were to buy a car in the same class, it would be the new G37. I like the BMW and while a 328i can be similar in price to the G, it doesn't offer the goodies the G does, and as much as I love the 335i, it's hard to justify a $10k premium over the G37, to me it is no longer in the same class - to most car buyers in this class the difference between $30k and $40k is significant.
A lot changed in my life, I no longer needed a commuter car, I wanted something small and fun and got a great deal on the S2k. I had planned on moving south and still do, but it's clearly been delays and I traded the S2k on the Si a few weeks ago(too good of a deal to pass up) this way, in the event I get stuck up here next winter I am not forced to stay home. Also if I move it's much easier to move with a 4 door sedan then a 2 door convertible, cheaper, etc... Much like I mentioned above, I just didn't drive the S2k like it was meant to be driven, it seemed like a waste on me, factor in how little I drive and getting something more generic just made sense. I am working on a new business and wanted to free up as much cash flow as possible to ensure the success of the business.
Hope that explains my vehicle hoping - looking back, I probably would have been better off just keeping the Infiniti - but for how little it's cost me I've had some fun!

Toyota Highlander!
Personally, I like the Subaru Legacy GT.
Between the two Infiniti's, I say FX.
Probably doesn't get as good mileage, but it performs well for a SUV. Think of it as a slightly larger, four-door, AWD G37.
Plus, when taking friends, FOUR DOORS FTW!
