Some of us are here because we love cars, it has nothing to do with sales.

Plus, diesels have more torque and better longevity.

Im not too sure I understand why there are more diesel cars coming to the US if it takes 15% more oil to make a gallon of diesel than a gallon of gasoline. That really isnt helping our dependency on foreign oil.

A diesel is quite often 25 to 30% more fuel efficient

Well heres some better pics of the whole TSX.

I don't like the interior so much and I wish they changed the grille other than that it would be a great car especially since with all the features its only 35k.

That interior has some good points but overall its too swoopy. THe center stack looks like something from Star Trek and the door panels are a bit boring.....

It's a shame that you have to modify a car just to make it look good. There goes the sub $30K pricetag.
I don't know how that grille got past the consumer testing stage. Did no one raise their hand and say "what are you putting a tomato slicer on the front of the car?"

BTW, an 09 with tech is only 32k. Not a bad price at all, especially in a few months when they start discounting them more.

Black interior looks cheap for some reason.
Parchment looks great.

if they combined that grille with the rearend of the 03-05 US Accord sedan, that would've been the ugliest Honda I would've ever seen or ugliest car I would've ever seen.

But then again you can blame America because we will drive cars with bigger engines even if the gas prices are high. I really wish turbo diesel would be in the states already.

The grille is awful. Otherwise, it's OK, though it looks a bit 'bulky' to me. But, it helped me get a good price on my '08, so I suppose I shouldn't complain ...

If Acura screws up the new TL this badly, they should just go ahead and close up.
Why on Earth would anyone pay $30K for an ugly, 200hp four-cylinder, FWD sedan? Because the stereo sounds good? No "car guy" would buy this thing.

just saw my first '09 TSX today. it was black with the parchment interior. didn't get a chance to get an upclose look at it. but i really noticed the wider stance and longer body. the wheels and grille look just as bad in person as in photos.
other than that, i'm liking it more and more.

test drove the 09 TSX today with tech and it's a little faster than my old 04 TSX due more torque. my gf loves the 09 TSX more than my 04! Crazy huh?!
feels now like she says, 09 TSX is more of a family/luxury car now than my 04 TSX, which was a sports/bachelor type of car.

I went to Elk Grove Acura today and saw the 09 TSX. It looks a lot better in person than online. They wouldn't let me test drive it today, but said they would if we had a few more in-stock.

I don't have time to read through the whole thread, but have gathered that much of you don't like this thing.
Disclaimer: I do sell these
I work with people who have been with Acura for 20 years. We all agree, especially after looking at it hour after hour, that it is an awesome look and the right direction for the company. Anyone that has not seen it in person and sat in the driver's seat should be banned for writing negatives about this car. Yes, it is still a 4 cylinder and the automatic is not as punctual as the TL. But it is not a TL and it is rated at 30 MPG higway. The manual is still a blast to drive.
We have received great response from it. RL service cstomers, current TL and
TSX owners are in awe of the difference in the level of the car from the previous gen.
This car is going to set the new benchmark for "entry level luxury" just as the TL does in its class. Mark my words.
But hey, what do I know? I do know that I am past comparing stats to show how "smart" I am, have better things to do than find everything wrong with every car that is affiliated with the forum that i post in, and I don't have to ride along with my mom to make sure she gets me the right acne medication.
See it in person, sit in it, drive it. Current TSX owners beware. You will love the new generation!
