Well according to Jeff on TOV, he's impressed with the TSX after week with it. He was initially disappointed.

I'll be sure to write up a comprehensive review..

When I was at TSX ride and drive, they had a 09 RL so I took some pictures of it. You guys are already making fun of what I thought was a "cool" looking car...now I am afraid to post new pictures of the new RL.

Just put the Euro Accord grill on it with an Acura badge and be done with it. Acura stylists need to be fired

whats the stickers (navi and non) on these bucktoothed lookin things?

oh and IMO, dealer guys who come in here (with the name 09TSXisHere none the less) are only trying to stir up a few contacts/sales. of course they'll say they like it cuz they want US to like them enough to rush over there and trade in our cars for theirs.

Thanks for the pix but if you can't even admit that Acura might have fucked up in a few places redesigning the car... then its obvious we know you're only on here to make a quick buck. EVERYONE is in agreement that the grille is hideous and the wheels are sub par as well.

I agree but I dont at the same time. Of course salesmen will say anything to get you to buy the car...I got this when I bought mine.. "The Tsx is a chick magnet and no doubt you'll be rollin with some fine bitches"...Ehh the salesguy was cool but in this case I dont shes trying to get some sales cuz people on here are from all over.. Shitt If I wanted to buy one I would not catch a plane and go to another state to buy one... Maybe she is tho... I see where your coming from though. I think thats why one of her posts got deleted where she tryed to "advertise" or somethin like that... Not sure.. Anywho they will never agree that the car company fucked up a car... Thats where you come in... Thats where you keep your opinion and stick to it. The grill is fucked up and the wheels are Fugly.

I just went and eyeballed one in the flesh.

Styling makes it look more Toyota than Acura, quite honestly. The profile is decent enough, but the wheel arches look contrived. The rear of the car looks the best, and the front carries that high hood line that European pedestrian protection rules dictate.

All in all, its OK......but not anything with a wow factor like the Lexus IS series. Underhood there is all kinds of room for the upcoming V-6 (news to me) and diesel variants.

I'll see if I can drive one tomorrow.

I was waiting for someone to say something about the wheel arches. They're comically big.

V-6 might have me more interested in it... cosmetically you can change things around but why bother when the engine is about the same as the 08's? Might as well buy the older ones still if the engine output is the same and NOT have to dump money into exterior mods right away.

On paper the output is the same. On a dyno it makes a lot more usable torque.

I actually like the new TSX... I'm not too fond of the grill but I don't think it's dog shit like a lot of people are making it out to be. It flows much better on the TSX than it does on the RL, but still takes some getting used to.

I'm disappointed with the news that power remains practically the same, I was hoping that the rumors were true in that we'd get a 220-230hp motor but 200 isn't so bad either, especially since it gets relatively good gas mileage.

Other than that though, I think it's a great car overall.

the new tsx is quite the comprehensive package, and once put under a scope against its competitors not a bad bargain. however, it's underpowered, portly, and short of this thing we call character

I'm not too sure it's the Acura stylists... The rest of the TSX (and MMC RL) look fine, it's just the damn grilles...

I have a feeling it's a corporate mandate to put the ugly grilles on all Acuras now... Someone up high (typical suit, non-car guy, like a marketing person) probably has the people who make the final decisions "bedazzled" with the grille concept...

stop hatin' on the grille, it looks fine on the TSX. And unlike the RL, it actually looks like it belongs there from the getgo. Only thing I wish was they had used a honeycomb pattern for the black portion, instead of the brick wall pattern.

IMO the front just doesn't go well with this car...the rear of the car on the other hand is very good looking

the grill, lack of increased power, and the fact that it doesn't have a touchscreen is killing it for me...

The Navi interface on the first gen TSX was perfect, why fuck with it?

no way I would give up my '04 for that thing...

+1 No hating here, that's just the simple truth of my opinion. The front is disgusting, the rear is gorgeous.

I think I've come across 3 or 4 salesperson/members on this site that are actually here to be a part of the community.

The rest are looking for sales.

Yep. Its really not all that different than the 1st gen so im not sure why everyone is worked up.

I guess people were just expecting Acura to magically make a budget sports car with the next gen TSX.

TSX selling really well so why ruin a good thing by risking it and changing it too much. IMO

But, and I've been saying this for months, there should be another model above this 'base' model with a Turbo or V6 and possibly AWD (but not really required). They would have been crazy to do away with the 4 banger since there's obviously an audience. But there's nothing for those of us looking for more power.

And please don't say TL.

I would have even been pretty pleased with an optional 2.4 making in the neighborhood of 225-230HP with an 8K redline.

geez. Sorry if you guys thought I was trying to advertise here. I just like cars...enough to get a degree in automotive technology. I just wanted to see what other people thought about the new car. We haven't had a new sedan in a few years.
I am excited about the TSX, and I still think it looks great. To be honest, I am not so excited about the new RL in fact, I was dissapointed when I saw one.

I am taking the new TSX out to a car show this morning, hopefully I will get some positive feedbacks from people I meet.

MSRP for the tech package is 32,775. Without tech is 3100 less.

Admittedly, the TSX is growing on me. However, the grille and wheels would have to go...but then again, the wheels go on any car I own, so it doesn't matter what they look like. The RL still needs help, but the TSX has potential. If the new TL has more leanings towards the TSX than the RL, it should be ok.

how is the pricing in the US?? in canada, the starting price for a TSX has DROPPED from 08, $3300 in fact.

* $32,900 - TSX (6-speed manual transmission)
* $34,200 - TSX (5-speed automatic transmission)
* $36,200 - TSX Premium Package (6-speed manual transmission)
* $37,500 - TSX Premium Package (5-speed automatic transmission)
* $39,000 - TSX Technology Package (6-speed manual transmission)
* $40,300 - TSX Technology Package (5-speed automatic transmission)

with that said, prices of toyota's have also dropped (due to parity in the dollar); an is350 starts at $43000 (compared to $51k before)

Haven't really dropped since the there was no 'Base' model from 04-08. The 09 base loses leather, HID's and fogs.

The Premium and Tech pack prices are identical to 08 prices although the 09 is a better value now considering the added content.

Still too expensive in Canada.

So these things are showing up at the Acura dealers already...and yet Acura's website still has it as a future model
