As for the car itself? Not great, but not horrible.

Drove it today...
I like it. It feels far peppier than the previous TSX which wasnt all that bad.
Interesting things I noticed:
- All four vents up front can be individually opened/closed
- A pillars are thinner with MUCH better visibility than before
- Ride was smoother, excellent damping and good body control
- Intake manifold is PLASTIC :wtf:
- Engine bay has a lot of empty space. Its just begging for a V6 or diesel
- Underneath the car its very smooth and aerodynamic
- Underneath towards the rear.. lots of dead space where a rear differential could fit.. plenty of room for the exhaust to be moved over a couple inches and put a drive shaft.
- Interior materials were quite nice.
- Sound system was GREAT. Sounds far better than the 2nd generation RL. About as good as the 1st gen RL but with all the new features and surround sound. I was sold on it.

2009 TSX Saw This Morning In Person!
I dropped my TL off for the free 45 point inspection this morning and checked out the All New Acura TSX. When I first saw pictures of the car I thought that it was ugly and was hoping that it would look better in person. I saw the car this morning and got excited; it was pulled in a park. I was like wow that lines of the car were beautiful, the back was nice, the side was awesome and then it happened. I walked to the front of the car. WTF it looks worse in person, this car is horrible, it is not only the grill that is bad but the headlights are 2. The entire front end is butt ugly. They will have to give these things away. I have been a loyal Acura fan since my 94 Integra GS-R, if they murder the TL like they did the TSX (which WAS a nice car), I will have no problem just buying a 08 TL-S or Audi A5. I wish I had my camera so I could take pictures of this thing. When you go see it, get down do you can see the front of it at eye level. Simply HORRIBLE. I guess Honda is really trying to Kill the Acura line off. Acura Advance,,, yeah right, Advance to what a Steven King novel. Wait somebody please tell me it is a dream and that car does not look like that. And to top it off, it has the same HP as the last one.

I also saw it in person at the dealership yesterday when I dropped off my '04 TSX for service. I'm really happy that mine's better looking than the new one, and faster too!
You're right about the grill, it really is 10x worse in person. I'm interested to see what the aftermarket scene comes up with for the front end to make it look better. That is of course if the aftermarket manufacturers even bother to make anything for it.

Saw it yesterday at the dealer lot, front exterior styling is okay with me but the back needs a little bit more work (just not feeling it). My son who works in the service dept. did a test drive in the freeway and said the car is smoother and peppier! He also mentioned the mounting area for the turbo is there and SHAWD will be available down the road in a couple of years.

Off topic but... with the free 45 point inspection they said that you get a free gift. What is it? I was thinking about bringing my car in on Saturday morning if the gift is worth while but if not I might just skip it. I just had A1 service done 3 weeks ago anyway.

meh saw it at the autoshow and wasn't impressed in person. It could've been so much more brilliant.
the LED turn signal doesn't look as nice anymore, there's less of them on the mirror also. still no LED rear lights.

IMO, it doesn't get much more bland than a Camry look-alike...the defense rests .

no hideous grille.
no hideous fender flares.
looks like it was designed as a whole, not in pieces.

I don't think the TSX looks like a Camry...If anything, its those stupid wheels theyre using I bet in two years they're release a Type-S with the K23-T and SHAWD....now that would be fun.

In the end you will need to do the math.....like buying a hybrid...factor in all the costs and you may find out that depending on your particular situation (driving habbits, amount of time you will keep the car..etc) a diesel may not be with it versus gasoline.
