Not too bad, but check out the Phaeton factory thread we had a while back...
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...hlight=phaeton
It had this link in the first post: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1837641

Sweet pics in the Vortex thread.

Man that's badass! Imagine if someone built that garage for personal use on their property. Just punch in the car you want to drive on a computer from your home, the platform goes to the slot the car is in, a conveyer belt rolls the car on to the platform, lowers the car to the ground, and voila. Ahh man if only I was a billionaire.

now that i think about it this seems a lot more expensive than just having a huge parking lot to store all of the cars or is real estate really expensive over in Germany...

When is Ford/GM/Chrylser going to get one of those??

The pics in the thread were amazing. The place looks like something out of the future...moving floors, the lifts, and the parking structure.... makes me wanna buy a phaeton and go take the tour

Does anybody appreciate this car more now that you see how its made?

uh dude you can't see a new phaeton be made for the U.S. because they stopped making them for the U.S. the sales on them sucked. now you can get a Bentley which is also made at that factory. I knew the year they released the Phaeton it was gonna flop because who was gonna pay 80+ grand for a VW when you can have a E55 AMG or even a low 7 series.

I know production has ceased. It's such a shame. If you look behind the nameplate this is one helluva vehicle.

This sort of pisses me off, VW has the glass factory for the phaeton and this overly elaborate storage garage, but can't make a fucking window regulator that doesn't break or an ignition coil that has a good chance of working in the rain - not to mention some other all to common problems(MAF sensor's, constantly throwing CEL on, etc...). Why not spend a bit more engineering their cars to hold up better, then make cool shit like this. I just don't get it.

I think they got word of BMW building a new factory for the 3 series in (i think) Berlin so they wanted to "one up them" by building this cool looking factory/storage garage. it's kind of like Ford and Chevy when Chevy had the Camero vs Mustang. even though I think BMW 1000% better car than a VW or Audi

Actually i think BMW did it with that factory. i saw an ad of the place where they have the shells of the 3s up on top in a tunnel being transported while there are offices underneath, so if the workers look up, they are right above their heads. pretty cool.
