Man that's badass!
Imagine if someone built that garage for personal use on their property. Just punch in the car you want to drive on a computer from your home, the platform goes to the slot the car is in, a conveyer belt rolls the car on to the platform, lowers the car to the ground, and voila. Ahh man if only I was a billionaire.

That's what I'm putting in this summer.
now that i think about it this seems a lot more expensive than just having a huge parking lot to store all of the cars or is real estate really expensive over in Germany...

When is Ford/GM/Chrylser going to get one of those??
The pics in the thread were amazing. The place looks like something out of the future...moving floors, the lifts, and the parking structure.... makes me wanna buy a phaeton and go take the tour

Does anybody appreciate this car more now that you see how its made?

God you're fucking retarded
This sort of pisses me off, VW has the glass factory for the phaeton and this overly elaborate storage garage, but can't make a fucking window regulator that doesn't break or an ignition coil that has a good chance of working in the rain - not to mention some other all to common problems(MAF sensor's, constantly throwing CEL on, etc...). Why not spend a bit more engineering their cars to hold up better, then make cool shit like this.
I just don't get it.

Actually i think BMW did it with that factory. i saw an ad of the place where they have the shells of the 3s up on top in a tunnel being transported while there are offices underneath, so if the workers look up, they are right above their heads. pretty cool.

Japan's been doing that. Except it's all underground and for regular people too.
