A Visit to the local Maserati/Lamborghini Dealership

After a local car show on Saturday, 7 of us from our car club Prestigious Innovations went out to lunch in Timonium, MD. After lunch, we decided to head down to the Maserati/Lambo/Ferrari dealership that opened last sumer. Their inventory on site has increased a great deal since the first few months they were there.

Nate and I chatted with the very friendly lady at the greeting desk by the entrance to the dealership showroom. She called over her husband, who happened to be the General Manager of the dealership. We talked for a bit, and the rest of the guys (and gal) came over and we talked a bit more. Mr. Davis invited us into the back to see his race cars and the repair shop.

After showing us the cars, telling us some information about them, and telling us about the service shop, he offered the keys to whatever cars we wanted to get in.

From Ferrari

Customer decided to go off roading and ripped apart the front and undercarriage.

Rear end of a Ferrari. Whole thing comes out with the engine. Takes about a day to disassemble. They are supposed to be very easy to work on.

V12

Yes!

And the more fun part!

A bus stop right in front of the dealership hahaha

$2,500 rearview camera option

Putting the cars to bed for the night...

We talked with Mr. Davis and his wife for a bit more and did some networking. Expect to see more about this in the future. This place is a real class act. More friendly than the Toyota, Jaguar, GM, and Honda dealerships I've been to around the area. It was an awesome afternoon!

Oh, and they put a picture on their dealership photo page

Imagine that, a friendly exotic car dealership.... not that I've ever personally been one (they would laugh this 19 year-old and his friends out the door) but I imagined they've be a bunch of elitist pricks

Cool and thanks for the pics.... you have one of the cleanest HMMs.

And the rearview camera is a must on the Gallardo, or probably any Lamborghini. You can barely see shit through the back window

Prooops to the dealer, looks like a real class act. I bet they knew behaving like this would not sell one of these vehicles to any members of your club, but still decided to be gracious, I wish we hade dealers like this in Canada. Basically you need a credit check before they let you in Ferrari of Ontario.

I also found it funny that it was all Ferrari's in the actual shop, which either indicates that Ferrari's are garage whores, Or Lambo's don't sell much, or they are not maintenance whores.

I stayed in Timonium last year when I went to baltimore for the sox games last august...

I was suprised at the number of lambos in the area, but maybe it was because I was right around the corner from the dealer ship....

I hate exotic car dealerships because I can't afford to shop there.

I was in Miami a while ago visiting a friend and we rode by an exotic car dealership. I just about fell off the motorcycle looking at all the cars.

A forged 1 piece wheel is the strongest. 2 and 3 piece wheels are mostly made for looks for the street crowd, and as well, it is easier to replace parts of the rim if damage occurs.

I think all depends on which dealer. The Lamborghini dealer in Montreal was very friendly to me. The owner John Scotti is a real class act, and a car owner at heart. I'll never forget he gave me my first Lamborghini ride!

To the OP, hopefully you had a chance to hear the Lamborghini's engines...I heard an LP640 and a few Gallardos today at the car show and I'm still shivering and dizzy from the heavenly sound of those engines .Hearing them on Youtube and live is pretty different.

Jason, bring your crew to the UMD spring meet. Last year we had a couple lambos and ferraris among other exotics. They do sound ridiculous, especially at redline

Thats pretty cool.

The local ferrari dealership, while nice, wouldn't let anyone near the garage.

That's they key. Mr. Davis, from what his wife told us, IS a car guy. He started out working on muscle cars, modifying them and racing them.

As you saw in the picture that TommySalami posted, they are a fun and laid back group of people. If I had the money, I'd be there all the time.

Yes, I've heard them. A few cars from this dealership were in the Motor Trend International Auto Show - Baltimore... My car was on display in the show as well. The last night, as we were waiting for our turn to load our cars out the elevator, I grabbed some video of the Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Maseratis leaving. The start-up and idling of these beasts is orgasmic. PiZaul can attest to this. The video is on Facebook. I'll have to upload it to YouTube now that they've allowed 1GB file uploads.

I'll be visiting the dealership shortly by myself to discuss things and do some further networking, so I'll see about getting a "ride-along" and grab some in car video... Who knows, might be able to swap seats on one the back roads right by the dealership. /dream

Ohhh. That debate will go on forever. I think they both have their place.

I also live in the Towson area and visited the site MDStreetScene after seeing it mentioned in this thread.

It appears that since I registered yesterday that their forum has been haxorred. It's not linking to a feminine hygiene forum.... lol
