Vinyl Wrapped my grille white!
what do you guys think? it doesnt match perfectly, the pictures are obviously cherry picked. but i didnt have any chrome pieces left on the car after i blacked out my emblems. the chrome grille didnt look right, and something had to be done!
i highly recommend this for any 4G TLers...its a great option for those with a lease, and are looking for cheap, reversible mods (like myself)
BTW - the front and rear emblems are plasti-dipped black.
...and heres the rear, for some more plasti-dip mania.

I don't think it looks bad... but if you drove by me I wouldn't exactly go "WHOA!!! LOOK AT THAT GRILL!!!" either

haha. i want to paint - but there are many reason why i cant...so im not gonna go there.
im going to give the vinyl a try. it took me so long to do this...not coming off anytime soon. when it does come off, then ill go the plasti-dip route.

thanks guys. i love it so far.
i understand that its not for most...even if i thought the stock looked better, i would still keep the vinyl. sometimes you get more enjoyment out of a personalization even if it doesnt look better than stock. the vinyl molding was a huge task. im proud of my work and yes, i like it more than the chrome.

I think it looks pretty good assuming the color mismatch isn't very noticeable (looks good in the pics). I think I would like black better too but I think you said something about the newer grill doesn't look good plasti dipped due to the corners or something.
Nice work

...versus...
many ppl on clublexus have plastidipped grilles. but the grille was redesigned for 09+. there are many strange curves and edges that look VERY awkward when its black on white. looks like a flared mustache. unfortunately, if the white vinyl doesnt hold up, then ill have to go the plasti-dip route...i just cant stand the chrome.
