Nice,My friend just traded in his z06 for zr1. The ZR1 is so sexy in person.

I've really been wanting to do the same. But unlike the Z06 that is lots of value for the $ , when you hit the 100k+ asked for a ZR-1 the choices pretty much become unlimited and makes it so much more difficult.

Thanks man. Honestly, there is nothing like top-down, high horsepower fun. The designers of the Vette always have the convertible version in mind before the new model comes out and it shows.

BlueAc and Acuraluvr, I'll shoot some more pics of the system when I get a chance but the setup is now: Kenwood DDX Navi/DVD Unit, Navi Brain, Ipod control, backup cam, Boston Acoustic Door components/Boston Acoustic door tweeters, custom JL audio C6 Vette Vert subs in Suede enclosures, JL Audio 500 X 5 Amp, K40 and front/rear jammers

The best part about having the convertible must be the sounds you get to hear!!!

Definitely is. Hearing the LS V8 roaring, rowing through the gears, with the top down will definitely put a smile on your face.

You thinking about getting a catback or something? My friend said when her friend heard my car rolling up one time, she said "that's hot" and she bit her lip Whenever I rev it or take girls for a ride, they scream. All I have is a Flowmaster too.

I don't have a Vette, but an LS1 Z28.... I can imagine the effect would be more pronounced with a C6 'vert though!

 

^ I second this and for me Corsa exhaust sounds the best for American V8s and V10s. It will make ur Vette even more attractive!

 

may need to set up a mini meet with you. my buddy just picked up a C6... and is trying to get me to find a cousin for it... he has a jetstream blue... but i would want the burnt orange color...

My boy took me for a ride in the zr1 yesterday. OMG It makes his z06 seem like a civic. It has fucking AWESOME brakes on it too. ( we were haulin ass and had to come to a quick stop. I was IMPRESSED!) he said the ZR1 was $109k out the door and the stealership gave him $78k trade in on the Z06

 

$78k trade in for a Z06! Wasn't a Ron Fellows edition or anything was it? Er, in that case, it might actually be a lot more...

it was super low miles an he had a bunch of shit on it .. can't recall off my head atm. This guy goes through cars like changing socks. i Have been good friends with him for about 3-4yrs now and he has had 10 +or - a few over that span of time. every single one was brand new. He had a EVO X MR ( whatever the latest evo is) traded that in for a z06 then traded in the Z06 for a ZR1. Right now he is big into lifted trucks and vetts

 

A few of my friends said the same thing....particularly the rear trunk area behind the seats on the Convertible and also the headlights. I think its one of the best compliment this car get.

I've been going back and forth on the exhaust issue. Kind of like how the exhaust is quite when you dont want it to be (ie not on the gas) and then REALLY opens up when you press the throttle. Surprisingly, it still gives that "snap crackle pop" sound when you get off the throttle in gear that aftermarket exhausts give. The only complaint that most owners have is how quite it can be if your out of gear and not on the gas. I'm going with Corsa or B&B if I do get one though. BTW, the red vette gets the girls wet without an aftermarket exhaust.
