Ultrashield A/C degunker

As anyone in FL can attest - you can get mildew and other foul smelling junk in your A/C system. In my current daily routine, I park my car in a covered garage and when I get in to go home the A/C emits a hot/humid/mildewy smell when first turned on. After all, it's been cooking via engine heat all day.

I tried Ultrashield odor treatment and so far it has seemed to work VERY well.

Here's a link to the product's web page.

I bought the spearmint (no baby powder smell in my car!) and didn't even bother to change the micron filters (20k on them). I sprayed it in following the instructions to spray during A/C and then heat - maybe 30 sec. worth total. The car had a spearmint smell for about a day or so, but after that - nothing! Today after work I made a point of smelling the air that first came out of the A/C after the car was turned on. It smelled a little like what I would refer to as "the active ingredient" in the spray, but that's it.

I have some micron filters on order and will do another treatment (while the filters are out) when I change them.

This product is definitely worth a try! I'll give more long updates as time goes on.

As far a using Lysol, the smell of lysol stayed in my car for almost a week after treatment. This product's smell was in and out in no time compred to that. They say a can can do three treatments. I'd say they were padding it - perhaps 4 or 5 treatments depending on severity of your smell. Lysol also didn't last that long - maybe 6 months.
