First cheap/free mods you should do are removing the sound tube that pipes engine noise into the cabin
The BRZ is the longest I’ve kept any daily driver, had mine for 6 years now
Yup! Makes it fun to drive on the street, honestly. Despite being underpowered, you can get the car sideways very easily.

A header + tune will basically eliminate the torque dip. Supercharger will do that, too.
Personally I think the UEL header sounds better. Catted seems like a weird idea, but it will be less raspy than catless.
Congrats though, you’re in for a lot of fun!

I wish they were that good, they are some off brand junk. Replacements ordered last night, MY debit card is burning up!
Hard pass.

Thanks!
I'm buying Morgan's SC & looking for an intake, header/exhaust/ tune. (morgan made suggestion I'll follow)

Guess I have to follow the wires to wherever it goes & find the box it connects to. Maybe it has the 10 lbs of 100$ bills I have been looking for.

Hmm. Then my next guess would be that it's a shitty "ambient lighting module" for the footwell. And the button is to turn it off when you realize that having it look like a K-Mart sales aisle all the time isn't that cool anymore.

The device looks similar to the anti-theft that all GST (Gulf States Toyota) cars got. Not sure if GST is still doing those.
Both of my dad's 4Runners had a similar device under the dash on the driver's side. Don't think their Camry has one, though.

Ugh. I had a similar piece of crap that was slapped on my grey 4Runner. Every vehicle on that dealer's lot had that type of thing "for lot inventory control". Pissed me off because of the janky screwed on module at the kick panel like your blue beacon of justice. I never dug back in further to exorcise the brain module like that. Mainly because I was worried about how many shitty T-Taps I'd find.
So out of curiosity, how many wires in your harness were mangled by that beautiful piece of technology?

I didn't stay under there too long as I'm not svelt & the space is small & it was already 88 (96 now) I was hoping for remote start so I could just buy the fobs. I'll get my alarm guy to do the full recon when he does the remote start install.
I am debating if I'm going to do the stereo myself or let him.
Ordered these yesterday. I have the Hertz speakers from the Tundra (kept the amps/sub/ speakers) restored the factory junk, except the Pioneer, it's 2+ years old and I was in the mood for Alpine.

I have no idea how bad shipping would be but I still have the custom fiberglass box with a JL 8" sub that fits tightly into the corner of the trunk, if you're looking to add some bass to the party.

You have my number, I'm in a zoom meeting now but if you would like to call in 45 minutes we can work out everything, I'm taking the SC & wanted to ask about adding the hoses & Homelink mirror, hate the base mirror.
This is funny, seems thanks to this car having so many names depending on the database in question they don't recognise it.
I do monthly unlimited car wash at a place, I went to switch the Tundra off and had to use Scion FRS.
lol

That's what I'm thinking... Financially, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have two (or more) different systems. Commonality is King with Honda and Toyota. Only make something unique when it absolutely needs to be. Dollars to donuts the BRZ cluster works work too.

It'll likely fit and plug in just fine but you might need to flash or code the car for it to work properly. Might also run into year over year changes in control software that may cause issues. Either way, roll the dice and swap it out if it doesn't work.

I'm willing to bet it's the same. Techstream might be required to enable all functions, but I doubt it.
How is the screen controlled though? Via buttons on the steering wheel?
