I meant to edit this and add more, but anyway. Went with the A4 after cross shopping the TLX, 330i, IS200t. I liked a lot about the TLX and the IS200t. Tech was pretty good on both and the safety features were easily the best. I was a bit disappointed with the 330i overall and I wasn't particularly comfortable sitting in the seats. All around, the experience was best with the Audi. I had one about 5 years ago that I loved, but I couldn't afford the maintenance back then.
Did you lease or buy? This car is on the top of my list when it comes time to give the Q50 back. Curious to know how these cars lease compared to Infiniti and Acura (since they seem to give cars away).

I leased. It was no doubt expensive, but I put nothing down, so YMMV. My wife handles the finances (and makes all the money). Maintenance it was well over $600 a month.
Awesome! You know I'm a German fan (Audi and Mercedes) so thumbs up from me. We had a B7 A4 2.0T and loved that car. It was actually the one that started the German obsession for us.

You'll love the car... so enjoy it !!
Thanks! I had a B7 A4, too. It really did get me hooked and it killed me to have to sell it.
The ride is amazing. Comfortable when it needs to be and dynamic mode is a beast
The interior is fantastic. Every inch of it is quality
The fuel economy is about the same as my TSX had
Has an amazing backup camera
Carplay is better than any infotainment system I had used prior, and Audi isn't responsible for software updates
Cons:
I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to unplug my iPhone without the radio screaming at me
The shifter is not good. Moving between the Audi and the CR-V is not seamless in that regard
I am having an issue with the driver side rear window. Sometimes it doesn't listen, other times it has a mind of its own and opens a few inches when the car starts.
Overall, the pros are a big advantage through about 500 miles. I'm loving the car overall.
Just a quick update on the car. The thing remains a joy to drive, so there's that. The interior is comfy, fuel economy is good, and the Carplay system is even better with iOS 10.3.
Just a couple of weird things
I have been incredibly unlucky with the car. Besides the main issue (see below), I have had two door dings and a flat tire. Thankfully, the tires are still so new, I only needed one new tire.
The main issue is still the window issue. Audi has multiple cases like this across the country, but it's unclear if they have been able to address the issue. Basically, the car starts, the window opens about an inch, and the door lock lights don't turn on and the locks try to relock every time the car goes to 25. Restarting the car clears the issue and it's otherwise not really a problem, but Audi is extremely persistent about getting it fixed, so I wind up keeping loaners a lot longer than I expected. Overall, it's comforting to know that Audi wants to fix this issue and the dealer has been good to me, but this is the kind of annoying stuff that scared me off of German cars.
Of course, I drive the thing and I really don't care about any of the second bullet point, especially because this issue is anything but reproducible on demand.
It's really the door dings that kill me (but can be fixed)
^ Interesting... Thanks for sharing updates. We almost bought an Audi A4 few years back, but what turned me off was when I asked about basic maintenance, the dealer said, "why would you do this? Take it to your nearest Audi dealership."
I've seen electrical issues like with before in BMWs with my cousin's car where it was hard to diagnose and resolve.

Nice car. A friend of mine works for audi and showed me his new 2017, really nice interior.
As for the door issue, it reminded me of an issue i just had with my 4g TL. The keyless entry has a little plastic gear that strips over time because its friggin plastic. and when it does the driver door wouldn't lock. Because it didn't lock, it would continue cycling trying to lock above 25mpg. Very annoying and you'd have to manually lock the door to stop it everytime.
My wife has a 16 MDX, and i think its from the fob being in her purse smashing around but fairly often i think it clicks lock twice, which lowers all the windows an inch. a nice feature we never use in the summer, but when it happens at night and it rains, its a terrible feature.
Sounds like electrical gremlins in programming as your car is brand new, but your post reminded me of my two issues.
You should sell that A4. I've been alerted by all the TLX fanbois that the TLX is indeed the more superior car, in every single way imaginable. Sorry man.

I tend to take my car advice from experts.
And none of them prefer the TLX over the A4
But, just in case, I drove the A4 into Lake Travis, had it dug up, and then lit it on fire.
Was your TSX a 2009+ and what 'expert' told you to buy it? I don't need an expert to buy a car for 200$ less a month that will do 90% or more.
TSX got awesome reviews before Acura inexplicably axed it for the putrid ILX and the subpar pig Accord you drive.
The TSX and TL were so much better than their respective replacements. If the ILX and TLX were even close to the standards set by previous Acura models, this board would be flooded with drivers of better cars.
I love my Jetta. 9/10 actual people would take my Jetta over your Accord.

It's time for you to quit your trolling behavior, Saintor. You weren't provoked into this little drive-by of yours; this is just you being a jerk. Move on.
