TSX, G35 Coupe, or S2K?
Recently wrecked my 04 TSX. Mostlikely total loss so will probaly be looking for a another used car. Looking to spend around 15-17K for the next ride.

Depends on what you want
TSX = sporty 4dr ( Practical) 4 passengers
G35 = luxury cupe ( less practical but more HP) 3 passengers uncomfortably
S2k = sporty convertible ( very impractical but handles so well + convertible) 1 passager.
All cars I would own just comes down to what you are willing to give up.

^ I'm in a similar predicament since I just sold my car. What do you see yourself doing or using the car for in the next 3-5 years?
IE...
Answers to these kinds of questions should steer you to the right vehicle. Right now I'm looking at the following cars. (S2000 06+, 335i 07+, TL-S 6spd, 370z, G37, IS350, GS350). I have a daily driver which I'll be keeping hence the range in vehicles.
IE...
- Are you buying a house and starting a family?
- Are you going to be driving the car to and from work every day and possibly taking long road trips?
- Do you even have a commute?
- Do you have another car which you can use to say transport your parents to and from the airport followed by touring the area you live in?

It all depends, you have three completely different classes of cars there. If you liked your TSX and you were happy with it, get another one. Just know you're not going to be getting anything you didn't have before. The G will give you more features and more performance and you can get them in AWD, s2k = great car but its RWD and RWD isn't for everyone but who knows you may like it. Each has its pros and cons but it all depends what you want from the car.

I do love 4 door for their practicallity. Finding a TSX with a manual tranny at around 15-17k price might be hard to find. G35 are more abundant. hmmm maybe a G35 sedan!

I have no idea what your predicament is (situation-wise) ... but if you can afford a S2k ... get that. If you have some sort of commitment that requires you shuttling 3+ people ... then you should pick up a G35 coupe.
You've already done a TSX ... it's a great car for its purpose. Why not change it up a bit while you are still young (ie <50 yo) and can be a little reckless with your decision making? You can't be pragmatic 100% of the time!
G35 coupe if you want a compromise of sport / luxury -- it's thirsty on premium and insurance can be a little pricey ... so keep that under consideration. S2k -- no idea what insurance is if that is your primary driver; TSX is pretty good on insurance (well, at least what my wife gets quoted).
Cheers.

G35 coupe could be your choice since you're already looking at s2000 (sporty) and tsx (comfortable, 5 passengers.) Not exactly, But If you could find a G35 coupe with manual transmission. That would be very close choice to stay in the middle.

What he said. You have to decide what you are looking for, though.

What Would Don Draper Do?
voted for the G35 coupe, but it really depends on what you want in a car since all 3 are different.
sounds like a G35 sedan might be your best compromise between the first two options.

I didn't like the clutch on the 6M G35, and the shifter was so-so-- the 6M TSX shifted beautifully.
A drive will determine which car you like, but a TSX manual would be my choice if I had just one car.
