you can.
he will probably show up though.
he probably has you on radar, and that will be his proof.

it's not criminal speeding, it's just a monetary fine.
I would just pay it if it were me.

you can contest it though, and then get a court date.
and hope he doesn't even show up.
but if he shows up you'll probably have to pay.

u call that a big problem? I went 110 in 65 zone and got caught. He wrote 95 on the ticket tho (another Honda man?). I am still waiting for the trial date.

Before this, I got 2 tickets in 1 week from the same cop; 55 in 35 zone and 50 in 40 zone. He didnt show up in court Yep, people like me are lucky...

Go to court if you know 100% for certain that you weren't speeding (this way, he won't have radar evidence). But if you are unsure or you know that you were speeding, then pay the fine.

Prove you're innocent and you will get out of it...that's what court is for.

...or prove that they couldn't have accurately calculated your speed.

I went to court and admitted to speeding. Basically went there asking for some mercy on the points. They changed it from a moving violation to a failure to produce documents ticket.

Yea, I havn't had a ticket in a loooong time, but I have "fought" a couple based on nothing more than "yup I'm an asshat, please take pity on me" sometimes it works, sometimes it dont.

or show up in court and possibly get it dismissed.

with that logic, every time you catch yourself speeding you should toss a few hundred bucks out your window and kick yourself in the nuts. no thanks.

See? This is the problem of dismissing the tickets.

They never learn the lesson.

You can show up, plead no contest and hope they will be nice that day. If it's in the afternoon I probably wouldn't even waste my time.

I went for a ticket once and just for showing up they changed my speeding ticket to an expensive parking ticket and dropped my points

apparently being an asshat and endangering everything in sight makes you too cool. that or the system had a nice day and didnt want to go full force thus making you pay out the ass for insurance also makes you too cool. either way, you're doubly too cool

just pay the damn ticket. 30 mph is most likely residential streets, not even big ones at that, and i dont see why anyone should be given leniency for doing 133% the speed limit in a busy area with people and parked cars around

it's not your story, people like you get lucky. others get ticketed for the most asinine stuff. it's your attitude towards it that's pissing people off

Attitude is key. You were showing off for being "cool" and you're being called out on it because, in reality, you are not cool.. End of story.

I'm not jealous. I don't want to be a teenager.

You just shouldn't be driving on the public roads. 110 mph in a 65 = You are a completely irresponsible, self centered, dipshit. If the Law doesn't impound your car, your mommy and daddy should.

The only justice - beyond the Judge impounding your car and throwing your stupid ass in jail for a week or two - will be if you wrap yourself around a tree, not harming some innocent person, the next time you decide to be an asshole on public roads.

Your time will come.
