Well in the end I have to claim through My insurance and pay my deductible $500 so that way if it's over $5k Erie would be responsible to sue her for any overages above and beyond the $5k between my car and the trailer hitch in front of me lol.
It's totally fucked up and I think the minimum coverage should be raised for sure. I've never had to deal with this shit. I get the $500 back eventually and it's no hit on my record but it's still insane. Still pissed I pay out of my pocket through all this bullshit.
Moral of story beware of these state minimum insurance companies.

No respect for anyone's safety and property. I tow often and remove the ball after every tow. If you are dumb enough to rear end me, then you deserve my trailer hitch fucking up your car that much more. The way people drive in LA, I leave iton more as insurance that dont accidentally tag me.
So, I'll leave mine on and tell you touch shit.
Jonesi....sorry man. That BLOWS...but hopefully she will be responsible for all the damage to both vehicles.
