Congrats on the new ride, man!

Finding an Accord with a stick is rare...finding an EX with a stick is almost impossible. Enjoy it.

Funny thing is, there is another 5mt EX in Wilmington NC right now. I've just had luck with them I guess. I didn't even search too hard

Kind of concerned...

I'm at 6400 miles and the MID shows my oil at 50%...is that normal before the first oil change? Honda manual tells me to stick to the MID but I'm itching to change.

Should I be worried or just wait it out? I drive mostly on the highway btw

Totally normal and you just need to trust it. The MID is an incredible bit of hardware that I wish Hyundai put in their cars. We had a 2011 Fit come in that had a marathon cross-country run pretty much fresh off the lot and at 10,000 miles, it still had 20% oil life. I was astonished.

Thanks man I'll just have to wait. It just feels odd looking at the miles and knowing I haven't changed the oil. I think I could easily get to 9-10k before the 15% oil life light comes on.

I miss the instant mpg calculator, the EX-L gets that and I don't

I have an old POS so I just go by the milage on the sticker by my shop

How's the Accord? You said something about the seats not being very comfortable. Besides that, it's doing okay?

on the oil life. I just got used to changing oil @ 5 or 7k miles after doing it every 3-4k.
I'll change it early and do it at 7k in March.

I love the calculator.

Haha jk man. The seats are not comfortable at all which sucks cuz I drive at least 350 miles a week. Other then that no complaints can't wait to pay it off and start looking for another ride in 4 years!!

And I love getting more then 30mpg

Everything alright at your place? How's the new area?

You change it yourself? I want to have all the records on this car so Ill either have Honda do everything or do all the work myself and save the receipts. I hope when it's time to sell the car later on, full maintenance records will Make for a quicker sale and more $$$$

Why the hell does Honda still make the TL with a timing belt while the Civic comes with timing chain?

Congrats - Enjoy !!
FWIW - When wife's TL had 103 K I sold it on Craigslist to avoid T Belt replacement. Told her I sold it about 3 hour before they picked it up.
She went Venza.
