Congrats!! Your TL was very nicely modded. Any plans for the Accord?

Thanks! Just tint and that's about it. Maybe after a year or so I'll look into a sound system.

Not sure I'd be able to live with the downgrade, but congrats anyways.

It's always nice to drive a new car.

Very nice!

I dumped my 3G TL when I was approaching 100k miles too, just didn't want to deal with it.

I know the feeling. I have 90k on the rl and it needs tires and a belt, but it will be cheaper to replace.

Yea it's kinda like a downgrade but new is better then old. I don't mind it, it was the smartest decision for me.

Sales manager said it was one of 3 in the southeast haha I didn't even look that hard! First dealer I called had this one in stock crazy.

I couldn't live with an auto, my first requirement was the car had to be a manual. So far I'm getting 28mpg city

I got a better deal on the sedan and honestly I like the looks better then a coupe. Eh who knows lol maybe some HFP wheels and a drop will happen.

My TL had 113K. I made the jump just in time haha test drove a Speed3 and loved it!!! But I need slightly better gas mileage and something that takes regular gas. Now I know why you like your car so much, it was very very nice

congrats alex! nice job finding an EX mt too... usually they are on the LX's. I have had a lot of time behind the wheel of the 8th gen accord sedan, idk if you remember my gf has one in black. They are awesome cars. keep it clean, and try not to be as crazy as you were in the TL. .. I've got 2 10'' mtx's and an amp that I'm not using as well if you wanted to take em off my hands

and if you dont mind me asking what did the accord run you out the door?

Is the 2012 Accord that much of a downgrade from a 3G TL?

Either way, sweet pickup. Enjoy it!! I'm sure it's just a matter of time before some basic upgrades are bolted on ...

Everyone has different opinions. I can see how some people perceive this is a big downgrade, but the others will say something different. It's not like there's a right or wrong answer.

When I traded in my 3G TL, I had a list of cars that I wanted to test drive pricing range from $20k-40k and picked the one that I really like the driving feel of it. I just couldn't care less what others think about my car purchase. Some of my friends loved my decision, and the others did not get it. Oh yeah, I don't like used cars... so I don't like the idea of getting a higher profile used car. I would much rather have a brand new car.

Not a HUGE downgrade, but off the top of my head

Accord vs TL

i4 vs V6
clother interior vs leather
5 speed vs 6 speed
smaller/weaker brakes vs brembo 4 piston
no limited slip vs limited slip
halogen vs HID

Subjective, but TL has nicer looking interior and exterior and isn't as big (long) as Accord. 8G Accord is just too bulky for me.

Yup, I just got 525 miles out of 1 fill up!! and I can use regular which means gas is just $3.18 for me!

Haha eventually. Thanks! It's a new car so for me, definitely an upgrade.

I never had a brand new car so for me it feels like an upgrade. I'll miss all the features of the TL but I'm sure I'll get something better in the future.

Brand new car beats all haha I shopped everything and could've spent $35K but it wasn't the smartest decision. I gave this one a thought and didn't go with an impulse buy.

Gosh I'm gonna miss the HID and power but everything else I can manage. Luckily the 4cyl EX is lighter then the TL, not a huge difference but I can feel it when I'm running around some curves.

I sure wish the 8G Accord Sedans came in a V6 / 6MT .

Great pickup! You'll love the gas savings and a fresh interior

I'm in the same boat as you. My '04 NBP TL just hit 180,000 miles which means I should hit 200k by summer of 2012 sometime. My problem is I don't know wth to get. A bunch of new models are coming out next year'ish, so I guess I'll wait. But if I had to get one today, I've thought about getting a V6 Accord or just getting a 2012 TL. I know I wouldn't be able to go back to a 4-cylinder car, though. Why can't I get 35-40 mpg in a 300 hp car that costs around $35-$40k?! lol.

8G 6MT sedan would be great! Idk why they decided not to make a manual in V6 form anymore? Anyways, the mpg have been sweet so far!

I think after this 4cyl I'll get myself a damn V10! I might even get the 2013 Accord next fall...see what kind of a deal Honda can give me

At first I said hell no but after a test drive and seeing a white one, I was sold. The slight update in 2011 of the bumpers, reflectors and headlights (I think ) was a nice touch. The tan interior with wood (fake/plastic) trim is very pleasing to the eye as well

Yeah, it's nice, but I wish Honda would've offered the white sedan with a black interior in the U.S. like they do in Canada. If they did, I'd probably be driving a white 7th gen. Maybe with the next gen.?

We'll find out in the next couple of months. Maybe a V6 white sedan with black interior and a 6mt That would be a very nice combo.

Congrats! I've had my 2009 WDP V6 for a couple months now. Great daily driver. Even better if it was 6MT

The sedan looks good with the Accord coupe rims from 08-10 as well

^Hello fellow Accord owner! That looks real nice! It really is a great daily driver, drives real smooth and the gearbox is very precise. Guess it runs in the Honda family
