The TL needed a new....
....nothing; my lease was up so i gave her back basically due to the fact that there is nothing on their line that i wanted to buy/lease. the 4th gen TL is kind of growing on me, but not enough to pull the trigger.
little info on the TL, she was an 08 NBP with black interior with nav, auto. i color matched the whole grille, inserts on the bumper and all the aluminum pieces on trunk including emblems, and i had 35 percent tint all around. never had a problem with the TL. it had 55k on the odometer when i gave it back.
wound up getting a good deal on a G37S 6mt obsidian black on black interior, no nav, factory spoiler and i threw 20% tint on it. it has 40k on it, clutch feels great, had my mechanic check it all out and everything looked good considering the mileage. suprisingly the paint isnt too bad at all, a few small scratches here and there, but i want to re-spray the front bumper within the next week or so.
future mods include subtle drop, some type of intake and maybe a few other engine mods. but for now im extremely happy with the car.
without a doubt, i will lurk this forum as i have since 04 when i bought my 3.2 cl type s, learned alot about cars and got a few laughs while i was doing it.
cliffs:
gave back my 08 base TL with nav
bought 09 G37s 6mt
im happy
and im paying less than i was for the TL.

thanks dude, i appreciate it.
damn my fault, i knew i was missing something...yes, it is a coupe. i dont plan on getting married or having kids for atleast 2-3 more years. i have the luxury/option to work from home so im not too worried about the RWD in this shitty northeast weather.

I went from a 02 TL-S to a 08 G37S (6mt) coupe.
The clutch on the G is quite different than any other car I have test drove (even a 1st gen CTS-V felt better!). Really don't like it too much (compared to the Hondas I have driven) ... but after all this time, I'm used to it. It's definitely NOT something I would have anyone learn to drive a stick on ... way too heavy and non-linear in engagement, but how the car drives / looks ... worth the effort to figure out the clutch.

i actually DID learn how to drive stick on a 08 G37S. my uncle had the same car i just bought and lives on long island and there are stop signs at the end of every block so i would trade cars with him for the last few summers and enjoy his car's performance while he basically enjoyed the luxury of a nav and a back up camera..haha, jokes i love my old TL
and you're right, the way it drives/looks/sounds (i added that) makes up for some of its minor imperfections. im happy...thanks for the response fella!

Send the pics to my PM and I'll host them for you.
thank you..
i know the TL was screaming for a drop, but i just never got around to doing it. it felt like everytime i was ready to drop some good money into the car, something major (ie family weddings/holidays/GIRLFRIEND smh) would become a priority.
def plan on dropping the G, now that i am a little more financially stable.
