like i said earlier i mean its awd vs fwd. audi will get better gas mileage in the 1.8, but like u said you could get a loaded type-s for a base 3.2 so i would say 07TL-S 6MT FTW . unless you win an extra 50k id say get an RS4 hehe

If you want reliability go with Acura. All my friends with VW products have constant break downs and have their car in the shop half the time!

considering you're asking this on an acura site, i'm sure you can imagine what people are gonna say, but i will say the TL will give you more for the money

Since you don't need "AWD" and the TL-s beat out the G35 and IS350 on the track I would say go with that. Also may want to give the Legacy GT Spec B a look.

TL is faster, but the A4 is more fun to drive...

between the two I'd say TL. The current A4 seems to be lacking something (can't exactly say what it is, but overall sort of in need of an update, not just in looks).

However, I think the G35 might be a better choice for that price range. Also gives you the option of getting the G35x. They seem to have pretty good reliability, too.

EDIT: Here are the times:

1. TL-S 6MT - 1:36:67 sec
2. IS350 - 1:38:24
3. G35 6MT - 1:38:67
