Tint glue is some horrid stuff...

I decided to remove the front tint (car looked ghetto with only front tinted, which were starting to turn purple, but still no bubbles)

I used the windex method, but didnt use a garbage bag, I just sprayed it on the window, waitied a couple minutes and went to town with a razor blade... Most of the glue stayed on the window, but once I did a couple laps with the blade, and kept spraying windex, it was clean as a whistle in no time... Getting down under the window "flap" was easy, and peeling the tint off was easy also... But the smell of the glue, or the tint, is terrible... I dont really know how to describe it... then, did a couple cleans with windex, and the window looks brand new all the way around... Hopefully next week it can go in and get it re-tinted, 20% all the way around...

Why didnt I just pay the shop the $15 or $20 to remove the tint? Why would I, when I can do it myself for an hour of my time and a half bottle on windex...

Car looks much better now... That is all...

Took you an hour? Took my tint guy 10 minutes to remove my front tints.

My guy also removes it for free when you are getting your tint re-done there.

For whatever reason my pathfinder had the driver side window tinted at like 50%...I wasnt charged for the removal when I had all my windows redone

Damn shops around here are mostly $15, even when you choose to get your tint done from them...took me an hour because I took my sweet ass time... and I had no idea what I was doing

Yeah, 15 a window... 100+ the cost of tint is absurd... It isnt even that hard, If I had to do all 4 of my windows, by the time I got to the back 2, Id be pretty good at it... The second window was much easier then the first window because I knew what I was doing...
