Thinking of getting an '08 4dr Si

Has anyone heard of any issues/problems with this car?
Is this the best model ( believe its the last model built before they went to the new body & K24 engine )

will be keeping the TL & s4 btw.

Just looking for a fun little car to use at the track.
Plus, its easier to fix/repair honda/acuras than my s4.

Can anyone share their opinion on the si? Preferrably someone that may have one already?

If you have TWO 4door vehicles, why the hell would you buy another?

08 and 09 and 10 and 11 are all the same except for some cosmetic changes, get 09+ if you want the sedan.

Better front bumper with fog light integrated and better looking wheels.

2012 is the first year For K24.

I would recommend you getting a S2K/Miata over a Si.

interesting...never even thought of the coupe.

As for my budget,... i really dont want to spend more than 15k as i'll just buy it out right.

I know these cars are a hot commodity , I just dont want to wake up finding the car on bricks. Mind you i live in PA now so hopefully I wont have to worry about that.

The s2000 is too small for me.

I thought 09 began the first production model for the newer si's.

I guess the 2011 would be best.
doubt i can find one for what im willing to pay.

2011.. no

2010 probably not unless somebody is desperate

2009.. def. find some in the <15,000 range.

2008.. i think that's your winner.

and i disagree with the 2 door idea... the sedans look better to me in the SI trim.

I think 07 was the first year...new body style and the SI came back just as RSX made it's way out.

I'm confused why out of all the used cars out there you'd pick a Civic Si sedan for a track car? Why not go RWD and get something like a mid-90's Trans Am or Z28? For much less than the cost of an Si you'd have something right off the bat that would blow it's doors off and is super cheap to make even faster. Just wondering.

An S2000 can't fit someone 6'3? That's relatively tall, but it's not exceptionally tall.

Point still stands though, that there are much better track cars than a Civic Si, especially for $15,000. What about a WRX, or older STi?

I'm 6'3 and I'm alright. Racing seats will give you more room.

And why do you want an Si for the track? There are much better options for 15k. E36 M3, S14, FC RX-7, etc...

The stock seats are very narrow. I'm a snug fit at a 36" waist

It's true for some people that are 6'3", me being one of them. I tried sitting in one at the dealership and I couldn't even get my leg underneath the steering wheel. There's no way I could fit in an S2000, even uncomfortably.

I'm 6'4, I can fit in an S2K but only with the top down and the Pillar is in my way of seeing the road.

I really wanted to fit, but just couldn't. Same story with the Miata.

OP, have you looked at some older e30's? With a LOT of searching, you may even be able to find a e30 M3 around the price range. Now that would be fun.

We should just drop the S2k subject. He said it's too big for him. Recommend something else.

Black with tint..

My beef is the shifting,,, I'm getting old i guess but dam your like in third freaking gear in 30 yards

It would be a blast on the track, as for city driving not for me..

What's the point of getting a car that's almost fully modified?
