Is this the best model ( believe its the last model built before they went to the new body & K24 engine )

will be keeping the TL & s4 btw.

Just looking for a fun little car to use at the track.
Plus, its easier to fix/repair honda/acuras than my s4.

Can anyone share their opinion on the si? Preferrably someone that may have one already?
I had a black '08 Si sedan for about 3 years. They're fun little cars, good for quick, short spirited drives. They ride very nice in the front, back seats can be harsh for any passengers though. The short-shifter on them was great as well when you wanted to give it a quick go. But, that's about all I used mine for as I had the TL at the time as well. Thus, my car was given back to the dealer with less than 20,000 miles & they resold it for $19.5K when it retailed for $24,000 new.

As far as track-wise goes, it'd be a good beginner car & that's about it unless you wanted to just start dumping money into it, which I wouldn't advise personally.

Apologies for how all over the place this thread went. Sounds like the 8G Civic Si will suit your intentions well. The only issue I'm aware of (sort of) is that same 3rd gear grind that some 7G AV6 owners encounter.

As we don't have a CSX subforum (though maybe we should insert one within the ILX forum), check on the Civic/Civic Si forums for more in depth owner experiences.
