Thinking about a New Car

I've been thinking about getting a new car and I need some suggestions. My price range is $60,000 and I will be trading in my 1999 M3 with 36,000 miles, if I do decide to get a new car. I've been thinking about the M3, C55, and Range Rover Sport. I want something fast, but practical.

^^^ clarkson says it's got cheap looking interior..

How much is E55? I'd consider BMW 5 series also.

E55 is twice my budget, and I dont like the looks of the 5 series. Hmmm, Maybe I'll look at the 6 series.

If you want the C55 or M3, you should wait for the next versions 1-2 years out or your new car will take a rather large hit. The 335i/ci sounds promising if the next M3 pushes the $70k mark. The C55 will jump to 410hp+ within the next 18 months or so.

If you desperately need a car, then my vote goes with the M3. I enjoyed driving the M3 much more than my C32 and the C55 really isn't that big of a difference IMO.

However, if you can wait it out (which would be me real vote), get the C63 or next M3/335.

you can always get a 24-month lease for an M3; and then get into the new one; i haven't checked the numbers, but im pretty sure the M3 has a high residual

E55 is pushing 100k

I would buy the M45 if I was you. The CTS-V is hot also.

I'm going to wildly guess that automatic only cars are off your list.

The interior of the CTS-V is horrible for the amount that you are paying. Verry unfortunate cause otherwise it is a great car.

Also how about the 300C SRT8, it has a decent interior and 425HP for around $45K.

I thought about it, but the extra $10k might not be worth it to me.

why would you say that? S4 has more torque and Horsepower when compared to '05 M3 and is fun to drive. Plus the new greneration model just came out.

you can get anywhere from $2500-3000 off MSRP right now for an e46 m3..... dont believe what dealers will tell you.... you're better off ordering the car than taking one off the lot cuz then they make you think they got you by the balls since most dealers only have 1-3 m3's on the lot....
