anybody see Sunday show? They have the Veryon on the track! However, it only was
5th quickest. Goes to show you that power isn't everything.

^ya i saw it, didn't really expect the veyron to do really good tho, just cuz of it's weight and stuff.

Why did jeremy use a Jag? i'm pretty sure he tested an Audi A8 Tdi in the last season that went 800 miles, why didn't he just use that?

I think he used the Jag because it kind of fit the bill, but he figured it'd still run out of gas before Blackpool. He said he wanted it to run out around his house.

They kind of went through that fuel competition the wrong way. The Jaguar did well because it had such a massive fuel tank. That would mean he did use a lot more fuel, which defeats the purpose for what a fuel efficient car is all about.

I believe the Jaguar still managed to hit 56MPG, which by most standards is considered extremely fuel efficient regardless of the size of the fuel tank.

I think it was also proof that you don't have to sacrifice luxuries or speed to achieve it, like in the Polo. Jeremy cruised through most of Europe @ 80MPH with everything turned on in the car (nav, radio, HVAC, etc). He even turned on the passenger-side seat warmer and charged his phone, and the car still managed to make it 800+ miles (he took the long route) with enough fuel to go ANOTHER 120 miles. That's pretty impressive fuel consumption in my book .

Ya, what he said. The engine in the Jag isn't a rocket, but it still makes quite a bit of power considering he averaged 56mpg driving without fuel economy in mind. Not only that, but that car is by no means small or light. Actually, given that it's a pretty big, very plush, reasonably powerful sedan 56mpg is kind of astonishing. 1000 miles between fill-ups with an ~18 gallon tank. What would it cost to fill that tank in the average US city, $60? 1000 miles for $60, not bad at all.

Compared to the polo (which did what, 85mpg?) it does eat a lot of fuel, but it's kind of an apples to oranges comparison.

The Ford Fiesta was very funny.

But for me it's a tie between the Airel Atom test and the Indestructible Truck segment.

The Toyota truck is classic. I also liked the trek across the desert (Oliver!). Best roads in Europe was great, as was the competition against the Germans.

The Toyota truck was my favorite segment but my most memorable moment was when Clarkson was in the Ferrari that had the "race" mode switch on the steering wheel.

I found the Africa segment and the North Pole segment absolutely stunning. I'm so jealous that they get to go on so many wonderful trips in such amazing cars...

The Aston Martin, Porsche, and Lamborghini Euro-Road trip was awesome. I liked the RV racing too. Never seen a Top Gear that disappointed. Why can't we, Americans, make shows of this caliber?

The Ford Fiesta review. I just totally watching that!

GT-R vs. bullet train was #2.....just because I love visiting Japan.
Their USA trip was #3....just because I love the CTS-V, even with Captain Slow driving it and whining about it.
Lorry driving was also great.

I need to watch the Fiesta review then.... hmm

I nearly shit myself when I heard Clarkson say in an episode "trying to fill this car would be like trying to fill a colander with a pipette" (a syringe)

My two favorites have to be amphibious cars, and their holiday to America where they wanted to see if buying a car would be cheaper than renting. These two had me in tears.

I LOVE the moments when Jeremy is laughing at James for the stupid crap he makes him do. In one scene in the episode with the mini cooper with rockets, jumping off the ski ramp, Jeremy tells James to spray can a line all across, but he keeps slipping down. Gawd, that moment was priceless.
