I'm not too pleased that we didn't get a lap time from the RCF. Just because Clarkson didn't like it doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a chance. I've driven one and it was an absolute blast. Probably not the best performance choice in its class but certainly a worthy contender.

Eh, considering how he eviscerated the IS-F a few years ago, I was expecting more of the same for the RC-F.
Still, I agree, I would've liked to see the timed lap. Although, the lack of one gave more screen time for the LF-A...which I am okay with.

'Top Gear' host Jeremy Clarkson suspended by the BBC - CNN.com
'Top Gear' host Jeremy Clarkson suspended by the BBC - CNN.com
(CNN)The BBC has suspended Jeremy Clarkson, the host of car show "Top Gear," following "a fracas with a BBC producer," the broadcaster said in a statement.
"Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation," they said. "No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday."
In May this year, the television presenter asked forgiveness after using a racist term during a taping of the show.

1 - Is there no one at the BBC with a sense of humor? It seems they are grimly humorless when it comes to some of Clarkson's antics.
2 - At what point do Hammond and May have a little intervention with Clarkson to keep him from killing the goose that laid the golden egg?
Random thoughts. I have no opinion on whether he deserved this suspension, or any of his others.

Mr. Clarkson, I know a good psychiatrist to deal with what is clearly a cry for help. Why else would someone want to walk away from all that success by doing such a mundane thing?
And no Top Gear next Sunday? Why do May and Hammond and the rest of the crew have to be punished by being off the air, too?

Dang found out he makes 1.5million USD per year as just a presenter for Top Gear
Not bad for a show with like 8 episodes a series

Signed.

What's really sad is that there are lifesaving causes on that site for months that have garnered only a small fraction of what Clarkson has gained in 24 hours.[/soapbox]

If Clarkson is really sacked from the BBC, im sure he will have demands for him to host another show on another network with his demands met.

Clarkson May Quit
From here: Clarkson So Upset With BBC He May Quit 'Top Gear': Punch, Cry, Run?
The bravado and buffoonery that have become Jeremy Clarkson’s trademark style have landed him in hot water with the BBC once again—and this time, he’s been suspended. On top of that, Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday as a result. Now, according to a source close to Clarkson, he's so upset with the BBC and the strained relationship that he may quit even if things are smoothed over.
According to the BBC, Clarkson was suspended “pending an investigation” after “a fracas” with one of the show’s producers.
According to Radio Times, Clarkson’s suspension is the result of having punched—or having “aimed a punch at”—a male producer, an incident reported to the BBC yesterday. The result: Clarkson’s suspension and the final three episodes of the 22nd series of Top Gear being pulled from the air.
Now, Clarkson is apparently so upset with the state of his relationship with the BBC that he may just quit Top Gear even if things can be smoothed over.
If so, it would strike us as the epitome of childish behavior: Clarkson gets himself in trouble, repeatedly; Clarkson gets warned, repeatedly; Clarkson punches an employee (over what is rumored to be a late dinner); Clarkson moans and whinges and runs away like he's the victim. What's wrong with this picture?
Fans of Top Gear (or enemies of Clarkson) may remember that the tall and windy host was given a final warning by the BBC last year after comments deemed offensive by the BBC and many viewers.
It’s not yet clear what will come of Clarkson’s suspension, or what the underlying “fracas” was all about, but we will update this space as more information emerges.
