This is Nurburgring, north course - not the Nordschleiffe, which is the longer 13-mile section you are probably thinking of. That is what is commonly known as "the Ring"... so in a sense, you are right. ;p

 

That video is a few years old, not sure if its been posted here or not. But I know I posted it on a VW forum when I owned a VW(which was 3 years ago).

 

Yeah, you are wrong. It was the Nordschleife alright. But that was only part of the whole run. He was also on the Sudschleife. It looked like the Nordschleife pit was closed and they were using the Sudschleife pit. Toward the end of the video, you see a car on the side of the track to the right after the long straightaway. After that, when he makes a left turn and you can see the stands is where the Nordschleife pit was. Typically if you're only running on the Nordschleife, you would make a right instead of the left and continue on the North Ring.

Yes, that was definitely the Nordschleife. You need to watch more than the first two mins before you seem him get onto it though.

Damn this car is a little faster than a Ford GT in the 1/4 with a lower trap.

 

It will definitely go faster than 165 based on simple math - but its probably geared for acceleration, not to mention the fact that you might not wanna go much faster than that in a car such as that. I mean, speaking of aerodynamics and body design.

how many times did he throw uppercuts at the end?
i would've gotten annoyed like a mother cos of that windshield rock chip driving at those speeds.
