So it has been 5 days since you said you hadn't driven it much once putting the Corsa back on. Anymore mileage and opinion now that it has tight clamps?

So my update. It still rattles when in ECO mode but it's very slight. Next time I'm under the car I'm going to see if it could possibly be a heat shield or the header/mid connection being slightly loose. Either way I've decided to keep it and sell the FM. After getting some more seat time with it, it just makes me feel like I have more of a bad arse muscle car (even with ECO mode on haha!). One thing I didn't tell you guys is the difference in performance it makes over the FMs. I always thought the talk about chambered mufflers robbing HP was just talk, but after having gone back and forth between them a few times now, I can absolutely tell the Corsa is making more HP. I can just roast the tires through 1st gear now, when with the FMs I'd break loose but not all the way until 2nd gear. The pull on a WOT on the highway is noticeably stronger. For that fact alone it'd be hard to go back to the FMs now. So I'll just leave this here...

Give NO ECO another couple tanks. I'm sure you've been driving more erratically with the mods trying to figure it all out.

So was there a rattle with ECO mode disabled? If not why would you just not disable that again?

No there's no rattle with Eco mode off. Why not turn it off? Because economy muscle sedan.

So the rattle goes away once ECO mode is turned off but you want to leave it on. You must like to punish yourself

You got that all wrong. That's an Economy Super Exotic Crossover SUV Rocket Booster Muscle Machine, not an Economy Muscle Sedan. Much different beast.

Funny you say that because it's totally true. My hard headedness (is that a word?) is preventing me from turning it off it because my justification for getting an R/T vs an SRT was the R/T gets better MPGs because of the MDS system.

i've learned that you don't buy these kinds of cars if you are concerned with MPGs... it's just a marketing tool if you need to sell the idea to your wife/girlfirend/significant other... but it's really bullsh!t...

Finally had a decent break in the weather Sunday to give Sapphire a much needed bath. Of course it rained 2 straight days since, but I had to take her out this morning so I figured I'd get some shots of her before she gets filthy again.

Thank you sir. Yessssssssss finally. I'll likely go back to the non-MDS tune after this tank of gas and give it a few tanks before making my final decision, but I think I've been over analyzing the rattle in MDS mode since I can only hear it when the radio's completely off and I'm trying to listen for it.

I would be really interested to see a several tank comparison of MPG enabled vs disabled and see if it is really as big of a difference as you think.

10-4 and will be doing that. I keep track of my MPG with an iPhone app already, so it'll be an interesting experiment.

So playing around in Photoshop of some rear end treatment options. Thoughts on this approach? It'd be debadging everything but the R/T and having the tail lights painted. As well painting the Corsa mufflers black, which I'll likely do anyway since I'm not a huge fan of the angled mufflers.

Looks good, try to photoshop bringing the black down to cover the reverse light so everything is black except two round lights in red.. Just wondering what it would look like..

I'm not sure either, but the more I look at it the more I think there is too much going on with the black background, red lights and white reverse..So since you were playing around in photo shop I figured why not give it a try to see what it looks like if the black was brought down..

I feel ya. I tried tinting the reverse lights. The blacked out part would be painted solid black.

Maybe no tail light treatment, just complete debadge and painted Corsa mufflers. Hmmm.
