My Challenger was a 2010...and while the actual design, which I liked, doesn't hold a candle to the current Challenger (one of the best designed interior period, imo) the quality of materials was pretty good. Some hard plastics...but a lot of soft touch materials. Many people commented how nice the leather felt, etc.

I just placed an order for some engine compartment Billet Technology pieces. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with the engine half covers. I'm torn between repainting them or getting the 392 half covers and modifying them to fit. Decisions decisions.

I'm on my 9th not counting the two I've gotten my wife.
You missed the 40% of BT sale on Black Friday.
Aside from their custom badges that I had on my challenger and their catch cans. I don't really love their stuff. A lot of it is gaudy.
But look at the owner. From Florida and still has 80s high bangs....

And I totally agree with your take on their stuff. A bunch of it is not my cup of tea either, but I do like their black dress up stuff for the engine bay. That's what I got to complete the set (minus the power steering reservoir cover and fuse box cover). I already have the black power steering cap. black oil fill cap and black windshield washer cap, so I ordered a black radiator overflow cap and black dipstick cap. The only color BT thing I have is the blue catch can which is going to be the only accent color in my engine bay, the majority of it is going to be silver and black of course.

Just purchased a used Fastman 85mm ported throttle body. Not expecting any real gains from it until I get a custom tune, but it was a deal I couldn't pass up.

Yep, high flow mids and a Flowmaster catback, but I'm likely going to go with 6.1 exhaust manifolds and mids in the Spring time. I'm leaning toward those instead of long tube headers. They're so much cheaper. The few extra ponies the long tubes would give me aren't worth the $1000+ difference.

Yeah the 6 is very limited although I did see a SC at SEMA that's supposedly making 500hp to the wheels although I don't know the price or validity of those numbers. He'd probably be better off with a V8. And yes, slippery slope is putting it nicely!

I think mine was a 87mm.

Also from what I read anything bigger than 85mm for a bolt on is worthless and can actually diminish performance in some instances. The Fastman version I bought is 85mm up front tapered down to 84mm in the back to match the intake manifold opening and has some other smoothing trickery done to it.
I got it for a bargain so worst case scenario I take it off and sell it for a small profit if it doesn't provide any gains. I'm definitely keeping my stock TB just in case.

Yeah. Its hard to say because I had mine installed at the same time I did headers, T-stat and tune.
But throttle response I think is pretty much from tuning because of the drive by wire.
Oct 31 would have been my 6 year anniversary of the Challenger...and it would have meant SMOG time. And I was still dealing with the damn O2 sensors tripping from the headers. The one plus of the accident was I didn't have to deal with that mess. Because it would have probably meant shelling out cash to return to stock...which meant I would have probably sold the car anyway.

I will be installing it all by itself so I should be able to tell any difference it'll make or not make. I'm not going to reset the computer by pulling fuses or disconnecting the battery because I think that might be a reason why so many people think it makes a big difference due to the computer clearing the adaptives and all the sudden the cars performing better. I'm not 100% sure on the throttle response aspect. I thought the same thing but a ton of people say it makes a difference. We'll see.
Damn it would have been nice if the Chally didn't come to such an unfortunate demise. So you were throwing a CEL with the 6.1 mids, huh? You weren't running a custom tune, just a Diablo canned?

I was running a custom tune. I also tried it with it stock and with just a canned tune. All the same results.
Most people with the 6.1 headers never had issues. I was that guy that had the problem.
But my shop went through the tune a million times.
Right before the wreck I had bought some O2 extensions to back the sensors out more and see if that dos the trick.
If not I felt like I tried everything else. Left the car at my guys shop for a couple weeks a few years ago and he was at a dead end.
It's the one shitty thing about MOPAR. They keep their cars locked down like Apple computers. Where ford and Chevy encourage people modding.

I didn't realize you were having those issues. I thought with a custom tune though the tuner can turn off the rear O2 sensors so they won't throw a CEL?

New Charger interior is excellent, I just picked up a '15 R/T with road and track package recently. I have some pics in the thread further down about the new camaro, it was updated with some pics of my ride. I need to get some new pics with the tint but I would rate the interior on par or better than my '12 TL SH-AWD. The seats in the TL were a bit more supportive, but I greatly enjoy the ability to move the pedals in the Charger, and the electric steering wheel

Very important question for OP: how is the interior?
We are having a nice disussion over at the 3G TL forums about cars after the TL (or next to the TL!) and I think the new Charger is a great play for a nice powerful sport sedan for those who don't want or can afford say a CTS-V or a German sports sedan (unless you win the lotto).
There is a stereotype of the dated, pos plastic interior of American cars but how is this one?
I know its an 09 but anyone with knowledge of how it is on the new Chargers?

Getting some bad vibes from the guy I bought the ported TB from. Paid Thursday and still no tracking number after asking twice now. ![Annoyed](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/annoyed.gif)
From what I understand having them turned off by a tuner doesn't fail the smog. The only way it'd fail is if the cats aren't there and they do a visual and/or sniffer test and of course if the CEL is on. Turning them off shouldn't be detectable by the OBD II port I don't believe.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he's busy because of the time of the year. If I don't get a response by tomorrow afternoon I'll text him and if I still don't hear from him by Wednesday I'll contact PayPal. I didn't send it as a gift so I'm covered if he flakes.
