Wow 7 hours each way? That's dedication. Curious, how did he transport it back home?

Yeah he was definitely not going to pass on the deal. It helped since he has the same exact car so he's saving all that dough on not having to get it painted like I did. He and a buddy drove up in a huge Cummings Ram with a cap over the bed.

I'm not 100% on either but I had some ghetto plugs in it so once I try the ones from Lowes I may go back. Obviously I'm a terrible decision maker!

I finally decided the wing needs to stay after driving around without it on for the past couple days. I'm at peace with my decision.

Looks great bud!

+1 on spoiler for sure. I know you're going for the sleeper look, but any chance you'd change up your wheel choice?

Sometimes I like to just stand back and appreciate the little things in life, like Sapphire chilling in the garage.

What kind of floor is that?
I actually don't mind the spoiler. I do cringe every time I see old pics of my TL though...

It's a special coating called fall leaves on concrete. Very expensive stuff.

I used the little plugs from Lowes that Jack suggested, painted them with some touch up paint, and popped them into the holes left from the front license plate frame. From a few feet away they're barely noticeable. Nice cheap solution to clean up the front a bit.

There's a Dodge Customer Care Rep on one of my forums and he was able to get production numbers that were previously not being released by Dodge. I sent him a private message and this is what he replied with:

Below is your requested production numbers:

According to our records, there were 78 Dodge Charger R/T RWD units built in Deep Water Blue Pearl Coat paint and equipped with the Road / Track Performance Group for the 2009 model year.
Much rarer than I anticipated! That means that my DWBP R/T R&T is more exclusive than the Stone White Daytona which they made 500 units of and is considered a unicorn of sorts among the Charger community. Pretty cool knowing the actual production numbers. I know it's not a collectible car and never will be, but still, just knowing there's so few out there is neat.

Good question. DWBP was only available in '09 and '10, so it's likely not much more than double that, but I don't know for sure. I just messaged the rep to see if he can get me that info along with the total number of Chargers equipped with the Road/Track Performance Group in '09 and '10.

Just got a response...

Here you go:

According to our records, there were 60 Dodge Charger R/T RWD units built in Deep Water Blue Pearl Coat paint and equipped with the Road / Track Performance Group for the 2010 model year.
So overall there were only 138 Deep Water Blue Pearl Dodge Charger R/T Road/Tracks ever produced. Pretty cool.

don't really have anywhere on AZ to post this, but your thread came to mind.
Helped my brougham install some H&R...
holy nut butter does that set of springs give your cars the perfect drop (assuming you are not a vagina).

Dude...

even convinced him that he needed to order the 1.25" spacers for his stock wheels (installing Thursday)...

Jesus..not even an RT

Why is the front higher than the rear? Did you get them backwards?

I had a 1.5"-2" drop all around and I loved it. But research spacers on those cars...because its been pretty ill advised in the past. Cant remember why.

trust me, I gave him hell for it...even the 3.6 has a little grunt though...he wanted to sc or turbo...I told him to save his money and trade in on an SRT! He got a killer deal though...something like $26K out the door...
Naw, impossible to get the springs backward, huge disparity between sizes...I have a feeling it has more to do with the spring over shock on the front vs the spring sitting on the rear lower control arm, separate...it actually settled a TON after just one day on the front...rear already looked like that.

I bet they advise against spacers due to the hemi torque...no worries for him there

I don't think it has to do with torque as much as added stress to the stock geometry of the suspension which wasn't designed to deal with an additional inch and a half hanging on each side of the hubs. Could really start screwing with the handling and safety.

I guess I'd be curious why it matters more on your cars than any others? Or is that a general rule against spacers altogether?

I'll give him the warning though...gotta keep him safe!

Very important question for OP: how is the interior?

We are having a nice disussion over at the 3G TL forums about cars after the TL (or next to the TL!) and I think the new Charger is a great play for a nice powerful sport sedan for those who don't want or can afford say a CTS-V or a German sports sedan (unless you win the lotto).

There is a stereotype of the dated, pos plastic interior of American cars but how is this one?

I know its an 09 but anyone with knowledge of how it is on the new Chargers?

okay good to know. it is 2015 so probably have better interior now.

This is good news...that means in 6-7 years I can snatch up a 2015 charger for cheap!

The new Chargers have taken a huge step in the right direction as far as a modern nice fit and finish interiors go. And the tech is up there with the best of them.

Now mines an 09, so it's not by any means on par with the new ones besides the seats, they're as good, but everything else is dated and uses cheap hard plastics. With that said, it's grown on me and I actually enjoy it, especially the instrument cluster and shifter. I'm not a huge interior/tech guy, so it doesn't take much to impress me lol.
