Same here to be honest. I wasn't expecting this much of change
With 18" wheels, wheels match perfectly with the car panels. Love the overall look from any angle now.
I still have the stock header but it still is quiet with an aftermarket header and stock exhaust.
Plus, I am always after a nice tone rather than power.
No idea dude. Time will solve as always haha or good deals that come up
255s set up is good. A lot of track guys run that size once they add Header+tune. A little sluggish on the stock power.
It was an awesome deal dude.
Well, I wouldn't worry about sluggishness when going from 245 to 255.
With 245, we have already gone bigger than what we should've used on this car.
235/40 is the closest rolling diameter to stock and perfect for N/A as my experience.
Wish there was 17x8.5 RPF1 so I could run 235/40 with a bit stretch. I was thinking of running 235 with these RPF1s if they didn't have tires on them.
But, looking at it now, 255 has perfect amount of strecth with 9".
So 235 would've been too much.
Beyond that, I would want 18" wheels to run 245/35/18 (at most). Or 255/35 if it's beyond 9" wheel.
In my case, just enjoying the wide look and grippy tires. So I am ok with 255s especially with the deal I got.
But, car sits higher haha
Not too sure why but I've never seen anyone with this spec running 235s. Almost everyone at the track with our cars run 17x9 +35 with 245s. Never with 235s, but some guys higher powered ones run 255s.
You can tell the difference between 245s and 255s on a stock powered car!
But regardless, if you don't track it, it won't matter at all! It will look awesome once you lowered it a little. I had mine with the stock suspension for like 6 months, so I know how 4x4 look it was. haha I liked it though!
Haha true. But in Boston, more lift = more relieved. Some say BS but it totally isn't. Been to NYC NJ and DC this summer. Twice NYC and not with my car of course. God knows how many times I said, I woul've been fugged if I had my BRZ.
Difference of 245 to 255 is way less than comparing these wheels to 18" BBS wheels I had on
Not only it's weight, you would want less weight towards out edge of the wheel. Which one is easy to turn for a wheel hub? 15" dia of 10lbs or 18" dia of 10lbs?
Same idea. So bigger sidewall of 255 compared to 245 would be very un-noticable if you ask me because it's rubber, unlike a wheel material. Hence, that doesn't go for all wheels also. Enkei rs05rr known for having less weight on outer edge of the wheel.
I am not expert but so many tech behind the wheels.
It's hard to run 235s when you have 9" wheels. We all want wider.
I would just do if I don't track it or to make the corners lighter and etc.
I would run 265/35/17 if they had that size tire
But they don't, always /40/
RPFs look great. Were the BBS really that much heavier?
BBS RC wheels were 22-23lbs, but that being the 18" is what really slows down the car.
Total weight was, 44 lbs with 225 tires.
My Sparcos were 41 lbs with not much tread
RPF1s are 41 lbs with 255 brand new tires.

Love the SBC finish! If it were offered on the 16x8 size I went with, I would have totally opted for it.
Thanks man!
Yeah my other choice would've been black.
Had a good deal on gold ones too but skipped it. Gold and Silver doesn't really pull my attention with these wheels. Don't really like the design too but it kind of looks good on the car...
fk that looks good, Meko.
You need to do what you need to to lower it. Even it means taking a belt sander to your front bumper valence to make clearance.
3 sets of wheels and still a fat fist of gap ain't gonna fly, man.
So i see you are still very dedicated about washing your car.
Naaah Once a week now

Ahaaa glad you like it bro
I guess I could live with 1" drop. Have to, but dude car handles amazing haha.
Right when I though it felt planted with rear subframe bushings and strut bar... tires came from heaven.
