Here's a better question: Where is the owner's manual?

my 98 it was left of the driver side on the floor between the seat and door. 2 Pull levers right inside each other, one was trunk and one was gas, or something like that.

Asking on here can't possibly be the fastest way of getting gas in the car.

Is it the kind where you just push on the corner of the actual lid and it flips open?

that'd be the best. I'd pay to see the look on this face after that.

left of drivers seat on the bottom, i used to have a civic (not the same year though). Seriously, if he knows how to open the trunk from the inside, then the fuel door release lever should be next to it.

BTW, the trunk is the big piece of metal on the back of the car that lifts up to reveal a storage area. And the driver's seat is the one your friend sits on.

I know thats not a civic, but the lever is in the same place.

There are 2 levers there. One is trunk and one is gas, just flip them both when he goes to fill up and close the trunk while you pump :P

If you know where it is, why didn't you just *tell* him where it is? How will asking a bunch of non-civic owners help you?
