Today, one of the last mods for the Stingray went on. I had a Z06 grill for the car with the front vents in Carbon Fiber. I succumbed and swapped out that grill for THIS grill.....in full Carbon Fiber.
That looks like a damn complex piece to make.
I bet NASA will be contacting you next time they need to build a spaceship and need strong lightweight components.
Many years with it now, still as thrilling to drive?
Seems like the only thing left is to swap out all the body panels for carbon fiber...ready...GO!
You're literally correct. But I like the Torch Red color. There was a guy in California a couple of years ago that made the entire body panel kit in Carbon Fiber. I wonder what happened to him.....

What is Steven busy with these days? 2pm clean his New Balance and press his Jean shorts for tomorrow, 4pm Bingo, 730 Jeopardy then bed time.
Gotta work a few minutes in to visit the boys on here every once in a while. We miss you.

I miss you too, Jeremy!
Steven is busy, but no New Balance shoes or 4pm Bingo. I'm old, but not THAT old....LOL. Bedtime is still around 11:30pm.
By the way, I still have my Types S. She has 138,000+ miles on her. But she still passes the "turn around and look at her as you walk away" test.....still a damn sexy car.
Truth be told, I still look for things to do to the Stingray. I found this little gem on Ebay....red Carbon Fiber start/stop button. Also notice to the right of that, the "Screen" up/down button is covered in Carbon Fiber too.
it's the hobbies that keep us going, man. Nice.
Glad your daily is still kicking ass too.
How's Anil?
I could text him but I don't want him to know I still dream about him at night.

Anil is doing great! They had a 2nd boy about a year + ago. Your secret is safe...I won't tell him either.
That's a cool set of names...
I would hope they are cool...they have a cool Dad! I see he stays up on the TL and his house looks great too.
I just miss giving him a hard time. Ego battles and whatnot.
I can't imagine AZ took enough of his time that he had to quit it cold turkey.
Guys, last weekend I was honored again (for the 4th time) to be the MC and DJ at Corvette FunFest at Mid America Motorworks in Effingham, Illinois.
While I was there, I had ACS Composite install these lower vents, which are usually found on the Z06 and Grand Sport. These are non-functional, but really change and improve the look of the car.
During FunFest, the Corsa Exhaust rep asked me if "he could use my Corvette for the weekend"!!!!! What he mean was, he wanted to use my car in his booth as the demo car. I have the full Corsa Extreme exhaust with their Double Helix X-pipe. He sold out of exhausts that weekend using my car as a demo so people could hear the exhaust. Here is the Stingray set up next to their booth!
I have replaced the Z51 badging that was originally where the new lower vent now is. This time, I went with smaller Z51 badging, but these are done in Carbon Fiber!
Pretty cool to be their booth car and the MC for the event though.
No C8 yet for me....I'll wait for the Z06 or Zora to come out. I still have my Type S as my Daily Driver with 138,000 miles on it....still running good!

Thanks Phil.....it was a good weekend, for sure. I think I talked ACS Composite into exhibiting-LOL! But they did great business and so did Corsa.
It's a fun show....being the MC and the disc jockey for the show is fun.
