Thumbs up Starfire Pearl IS350 shoot

Enjoy... shot this to advertise the front lip (forgot which brand/shop though). I can post up a mods list in case anyone's interested.

One thing I have to say - this Lexus white pearl paint is absolutely gorgeous. These low-res photos don't do it justice; the flakes & glitter of the paint in the sunlight is simply breathtaking. New found love in white cars!

All taken with my Canon XT & 17-40mm lens. Tweaks with the RAW's and minor touchup in photoshop only.

Exactly. Not knocking the pics, GREAT quality. Just would love to have some better angles of the sides and more direct looking shots.

Ah, I know what you guys are saying now. Wouldn't necessary call them ricer-angle shots - it's just the front/rear quarter view to get the most surface area to appear in the image. I do think most car magazines, Import Tuner to Car & Driver alike, shoot their cars not head-on or exactly parallel to the subject. But, I do agree I should have included at least one of those in this set, and here it is:

I don't blame you for not putting this one up in your first set of shots, it looks better in your other pics. Side view of this car must be its weakest point.

Glad you took a shot of the license plate lights. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but the newer Lexus cars have LEDs lighting up the license plate area, and it looks pretty hot at night when you're behind one.

Would I be the first one to say "Meh"?

Not criticizing the owner's taste as far as mods are considered, just dont like where the lexus design is heading. Lexus styling these days seem to be a bastard child between the edgy designs of the new Cadillacs and the roundish Buick designs. Flame me all you want but I'd take my brothers 99 GS400 over the current model GS any given day.

About the only thing I can really complain about is the generic grille and those triangle housing for the foglights. Other than those, I actually like the IS's design.

IMO, the IS is the only attractive Lexus sedan. The LS is okay in a blandish sorta way. But the ES looks like a bloated whale and the GS is stangely androgynous.

I think most people buy a Lexus over the germans for the rock solid reliability and plush ride. The irony is that Lexus folks aren't the driving enthusiasts that Acura people are, and yet we're stuck with teh F/F.

Curious about "generic grille" as compared to?
