Just wondering what the actual process would be to get this thown away? do you have to go in to court and present the evidence that the ticket is for a 2005 Acura Integra but the car is actually a 2005 Acura TL according to registraion?

Insufficient evidence. The judge will take care of it most likely when you go to court.

REALLY??

Is there really a way to get away from the ticket just because of that??

I just posted on AZ because it was so funny that the cop didn't even know what my car was..

Give me some insights please!! I would love to avoid this ticket....

If you or your lawyer is good it should be no problem to get that dropped. It is impossible to prove that you were in a 2005 Integra going 94 in a 70 on X date.

Integra or TL is not going to make a difference...it was an Acura. Even if they said it was a Borgward the basic fact is the holder of that drivers license number was operating a motor vehicle at a speed in excess of the posted limit.

Pay it and go on your merry way.

As long as the offense is correct to the right statute of the law, & your DL # is correct you won't be getting out of it.

Hey I feel ya, I just got a ticket today going 75 in a 55. But I was driving on I95 trying to keep up with traffic. Cop just felt like being a a$$. Then when he got to my, the bluetooth phone was ringing, and he was like turn down your stereo. Had to let him know that it was the phone ringing, kinda in a smart ass way (no smart) then he tried to give me shit about tint being to dark. All my windows where rolled down, so he was just trying to find something else to stick me with. Gotta luv MD State po po.

Same thing happened in my CL, it got ticketed as an Integra. Good thing the cop didn't show up to court. Case dismissed.

20 over and the cop was an ass? Come on - I know there are freeways where traffic really does fly, but even then...

You could say that he must have mistaken the car in court and pulled you over thinking you were the "integra" he had just seen speeding, but instead pulled you over.

The LEO can explain in court, and the ticket stands

OR

The judge can feel like not dealing with BS and just dismiss it immediately

Both have happened to friends of mine, so I guess it all depends on how your judge is feeling.
