Sooo sad....

Sup peoples of the Azine community.

I smoked my 2000 TLP about a week ago...Me and a G35 made out a little amidst fooling around. My car isnt something I wanna drive after fixing. Pics to follow soon.

Wasnt planning on a new car for another 4-5 months. Wound that clock out with the accident and went to shopping...Ive been in love with the 3rd gen TL and the a Lexus...the IS350...nice car. Was gonna save for the IS350, but with timing against my savings, I opted for the 3rd gen TL.

Shopped for a week - found a few I liked. And than I found an ad on CL for a project IS350. A 2006 with 40k on her. Was in a minor accident needing a new quarter panel, a bumper, headlight and fender and some paint work - rubbed a median divider after losing traction in the rain...

Unafraid of a little bodywork, and knowing where to get it done right, MY WISH WAS ANSWERED!

Needless to say, I bought it up - dropped $12,800 on it with every part needed to fix included!!! All OEM Toyota parts!

Its packed to the hilt with all the goodies offered for the year - EVERYTHING...TOYS! Yay for toys!!!

I can feel the tension in the room now and I am sorry guys...It was too good to pass up and Im am stoked to push it as soon as its done. Drives sooooo freakin sweet! Prolly eat a 3rd gen TL for breakfast too...

Anyhow - my old TL is gonna be "fixed" and sold - maybe, just maybe kept as a 2nd car for commuting long ways...we'll see - if not, I'll be dropping a few parts off of her to recover some lost values on her.

NOT FOR SALE YET....
ASPEC Kit - NHBP, front lip needs repainting
ASPEC Wheels - 18x8, sparkle silver, mostly beat - need refinishing.
Custom TSX Retro-projector Headlights - Sooo proud of these! One may need a rebuild - I'll do for sure!
USA-Spec IPOD adapter
2007 DVD Navi CD
2003 CL Seats used in my swap - I'll offer the mod work if you want them installed for a fair price.

I hope no one hates me for going lexus - I know youve all looked at at least one or two and smiled - haha - good times!

I'll post pics of things soon enough...

I doubt anybody here would hate that you got an IS350 cause we probably would all do the samething.

But seriously bro

Personally I would go with a 335i, if i had to choose between a new is350 or a bmw335i. Im not a lexus fan, just my opinion though.

wow...way more support than I thought Id get...Thanks for understanding guys!!!
I'll have shots up this weekend of both my now critically wounded TL and the soon to be super whip is350.

Been pushin the 350 for about a week now...boy oh boy! Shes way too much fun...its almost impossible not to go 100+ on the highway, this car is gonna bring tears to my wallet - haha!

True Story:
I was headed to LA from San Diego in the 350, the other day...lovin life! Just got onto the 605 from the 5 and my boy put Lil Wayne's "Knockout" song on, first time I heard it - got me all fired up at the pedel! Had just met a lil Cedes 230 Compressor couple, younger dude drivin. We both started playin around, blastn thru a few lanes of traffic. I know I hit 100 at some point...Looked up into my rear view to make a move and BAM, theres a copy, lights a flashin right behind me. I yanked off the throttle and gave the speedo a looky - 85 still....haha - I thought I was f'd! Pulled over, cop made me go all the way off the next exit...Im thinkin my cars gettin towed...

We stop, he gets out...asks how Im doin. "Not too shabby," I say "u?" He goes "WHAT...were you doing?..." Im like F*ck me! in my head...and then just came right out and plead my story: "Its a brand new car sir, Im totally just getting used to it and how she drives"...then crossed my fingers with every bit I had to hope with and preyed...he totally warmed up to it! IT WORKED! I mean it was the truth...I had just got the car registered 2 days before. Just told this overly cool cop the real deal and he like completely felt for it...even shared a story of his own with a new car and getting pulled over. Laughed and everything! I wish I coulda taped it...Simply mind boggling and I've never had ONE cop out here, be cool about anything he had the chance to screw ya with. California is BROKE - true story! This guy let me off with a no seatbelt violation alone (mind you I WAS wearing it)...shrug...DEAL! Mad cool cop. He said by his judgment I was prolly going over 95mph! Sheeit...thatd have hurt. Told me I better start wearing my belt - hah...man...Lucky!

Anyway, thought yall might enjoy that.

Truthfully, after reading this I kinda wish he HAD bent you over and THEN towed your car. You deserve that MINIMUM. No one cares about your life, but who knows how many mothers/daughters/wives lives you put in danger acting like and idiot.

Stupid judgment on your part to race in traffic.

Enjoy the new car, but grow up and don't be dumb enough to do something stupid with the new car.

To the OP, I hope that you have learned your lesson by being pulled over, if not I'm going to feel no sympathy for you when you hurt yourself and someone else. It's folks like you who kill innocent people, trying to dick around and race around pretending your Ayrton Senna or Michael Schumacher.

In all honesty, grow the hell up. Just because you have a fast car doesn't mean you need to drive it faster than you need to. My 760 has a V12, you don't see or hear me saying I went over 100 this day or went 155 this day because I don't do it. You have a fast car, great check it out on the track. City streets and highways aren't your playground. Unfortunately it seems you won't learn that until you really hurt someone or someone you know gets hurt by it.

DO you know what vehicular manslaughter is? Maybe a 6 year minimum in a state prison will show you what it is. oh wait, it's 15 to life if you have repeat driving offenses such as DUI. 15 years is a long time for bubba to butter your buns...

Damn yall harsh as hell on street racing. Maybe going in and out of traffic is un called for but I don't think it's to much when you enjoy a quick run off a stop light with no traffic. Different outlooks I suppose. Nice car, IMO I'd take the 3G over the Lexus cus of all the bullcrap that's been happening lately. 335i would be even better...yum.

Has nothing to do with "different outlooks". It's stupid and immature any way you look at it. (not to mention illegal).

1. Going in and out of traffic is DEFINATELY uncalled for (not to mention idiotic), no "MAYBE" about it.

2. "quick run off a stop light with not traffic" is just as dumb. It only takes a moment for a kid to run out onto the street (for whatever reason), or some other such issue.

All you young kids are very lucky to have such nice/powerful cars, but if you're dumb enuf not to respect that power, they should be taken away (along with your licenses).

Hey whatever, you guys always with the "maybe" bullshit. Maybe I'm going 60mph on the highway and my tire pops and I go straight in to the wall? Fuck off, shit happens. You don't see me being a prick and topping out my car, I know when to shut it down. I do anything like that in ran or snow and always pick the places, so calm down.

Don't be a dick, you're fucking 22 only 4 years older then me. My brother was 29 and doing highway pulls with bikes on his Zo6. Blow me.

You might be 4 years younger than me but your maturity is of a 5 year old.

If you're going to race someone it might as well be down a pier to see who goes over the edge first. Population control at it's finest. If you want to race fine, we'd be glad to not have to deal with morons anymore.
