Some jackass chipped some paint off the bumper...help with a DIY

Some jackass chipped some paint off the bumper...help with a DIY

theres a few nicks and paint chipped off the back of my 2000 TL...you can see the grey metal underneath...the paint came off clean and its hanging off the bumper....its about 1 inch long and wide

i did a crappy job using some touch up paint similar in color but it sucks


im mainly worried about rust and other problems......i want to do a nice little DIY...need some help

well...another jackass just hit my car...probably less than an hour ago....and now theres 2 large paint chips

the paint is still on the bumper but it is noticably chipped and flaking off

theres 2 areas about 2 inches long and half an inch wide


what shold i do? sand off....retouch??


god dammit.....FUCK PARKING IN THE CITY! ARRGHHHHHHHH....i wanna get my old rubber black bumpered accord DX and start smashing peoples cars up

Instead of sandpaper as discussed in the articles, there is some liquid stuff that I recommend (or a product similar)...LANGKA Complete Paint Chip Repair Kit

It's a little pricy compared to sandpaper, but it really works as described!

Oh yeah, you can get Acura touchup paint at the dealer...it's suprisingly inexpensive...like $5 for a small bottle

Your bumper CAN NOT rust. It is plastic.

It will just look like shit though.

Sorry, can't help with a DIY on touch ups, I actually leave that to the pros

its plastic???i could swear that the parts that where scraped off did not look like plastic...like aluminum or something

Bumpers = plastic

that is also why they sometimes appear a shade or two off, even from the factory as the paint looks different on different substances.

Def plastic though.
