So, My buddy Goes to the track and....

Runs a freakin 12.6 on drag radials with a 2002 89,000 mile, Auto Firebird Formula with NO MODS other than the tires. WTF? It takes most guys at least some bolt ons, but he ran 12.6, 12.8, and another 12.6. He was dead consistent. if there was ever proof of a factory freak, this is it. What do you guys think about factory freaks in general?

Well the drag radial are one or two tenths of that.... other then that I dunno

I could not stand guys like that... lol. They seem to have some supernatural luck on their side or something. It was SO HARD for me to break into the 12's. I mean, I don't even wanna talk about it. I mean the first time I did it, it was a 12.99 or so. And the girls were cheering, etc - I mean everyone knew I had this "problem". LOl. I never had DR's tho. But still. My best time EVER? 12.66 @ 115.8. /morethanyouneededtoknow

WTH, that's definitely a factory freak. I'm guessing he hasn't put it on a dyno yet? You should convince him to do that and see how much power it's putting down. I'm curious now.

The '02 LS1 did receive some parts from the LS6 (right?), but still, a 12.6 with only DR's... wow.

Dyno numbers prove your theory. I've seen 03-04 Cobras put down as little as 365 hp to the wheels stock...and I've seen an 03 Cobra put down 406 hp to the wheels....with stock exhaust and the paper air filter!!!

hell no, thacar is far from stock

this is one of his friends. The guy never wanted to go to the track. He went finally and ran real good. He's had the car since new and is 100% stock, right down to the paper filter and original muffler. Needless to say, all of us guys are jealous of him.
