Ban the front plate in Ontario

Here's a petition. If you are in favor of no front plate you know what to do.

Never gonna happen ... as much as I would like that, and the reduction in wasted materials from only requiring 1 plate, etc ... but knowing the Ontario gov't and their rigid ways ... the front plate will most likely always be mandatory in Ontario.

The province of Alberta uses cameras for speed infractions and other moving violations and no front plate is required.

I've done like 2 of these within the past 2 years. Nothing.

An officer pulled me over to give me a fix-it for no front plate, and she said it was for red light cameras, people who do hit and runs, etc.

No chance. Besides, the only reason to not having a front plate is just because it looks better.

In Alberta you are only issued one plate for the rear. It's been this way for many years and I haven't heard of any issues or concerns. This includes commercial vehicles as well. We have red light cameras, but they are positioned to record the rear plate during violations. In fact if you purchase a new car in Alberta the dealer doesn't even bother to affix the frame for the front plate.
