I've got a question as I am ignorant on the various bikes. Of the smaller displacement bikes, say 600cc and lower, how quick are they at speed??

I was heading back to the office the other day and getting on the highway. I get over to the left lane to get around a couple of cars when I see a bike a little bit back doing the same. Being in 3rd I got on it and held it open well into 4th. From what I could tell the bike never made up any ground but when I let off and got over he came flying up quickly.

I never got a good look at the bike to know the model.

What are the traps on these bikes and any knowledge on older one's??

Or, most likely, he wasn't on it fully.

The only thing I noticed was that the bike was green with some white.

0-60 in 1.5 seconds, on the street? a jet-powered bike might do that...... on slicks

He was either scared or being careful in traffic. The CL is quick, but doing 20mph sprints on a sportbike takes 2-3 seconds.

Probably a Kawi, those are the flagship colors for their race teams.

These bikes just accelerate like animals.....they top out pretty quick though.....
600s top out at about 150 or so...due to gearing....750-900s will push 175-180....and 1000s+ do about the same but less time to get there

Almost all newer sportbikes are 10 sec 1/4....hell at half throttle the bike gets up to 80 in first gear in less than a block and a half.....

I opened up full throttle in 3rd gear on the freeway.....lets just say 120-130 came very quickly

This would have started at about 70 and gone up to about 110 when I let off. I am not saying I would have or did take him; but 370 WHP in the 6MT CL-S is not typical either. Based on some of the trap speeds I saw listed for lower displacement bikes and coorelating their ET's, they must slow up at the higher speeds.

Turning high 10's but only low 120's (some were low 11's and high 110's) means they are slowing at the higher speeds.

With all that said, I know the bike, most bikes for that matter, would take me. I was curious as to what they could do.

370 WHP!!! Yes sir, that is not typical. With that kind of HP I would venture to say it would be an interesting race.
