Semi Rant: The Rice Is Strong With This One...

Moved to this complex back in November and quickly realized we have a really annoying neighbor that likes to rev the hell out of his S2000. You'll hear this guy coming from blocks away sitting at the light banging off the limiter and keeps doing it as he comes down our street and into the complex.
He seems to think his car is badass or something I guess because it has blue flames and blue wheels.. However I don't think he realizes how much of a douchebag he's making himself out to be doing this.

In the mornings he'll literally start it and immediately bang off the limiter, I'm just hoping and praying a rod goes flying very soon!

He didn't say race him. He said call him out for being a dummy

Leave a nice note on his car... Tell him you'll slash his tires if he wakes you one more time

Race him for slips. Win and take his car. That'll quiet him up.

I dont mean race him. Call him out.

"Yo man. The other day I heard you parking and it seemed like you were hitting some unnecessarily high RPMs. I was thinking you could have a junked up IAC or even a vacuum leak. Definitely something is up. Shouldn't be revving nearly that high.
If you ever have any questions or want some advice on restoring your honda let me know. Ive got a few other friends that have do the whole "rice to nice". This could definitely be nice with the right work."

Then just walk away and let him realize you called him out on his high revving as an issue with the mechanics of the car as well called out his rice heap.

Ok serious response. I don't know if bringing it up with him is going to work because he obviously wants/enjoys the attention.

Bringing it up might send the message his revs are having the intended effect and he'll keep doing it or do it even more.

Sad to see an S2000 abused like this.

Call the cops on him for maybe having an illegally modified car not sure what state you're in but this may or may not be relevant.

Or the ol' banana/potato in tailpipe might work too

Yeah I tried calling multiple times even when I caught him racing down the street they won't do anything. Then again this is the same city that let me off with a 90 in a 40 years ago lol

Horrible answer, then all he will be able to do is sit there and rev in the parking lot.

You need to take the engine and replace it with cinder blocks.

Since you know which apartment is his maybe some information would be useful to slide under his door. Like an article on the negative effects of revving a cold engine. Or the negative effects of pissing off neighbors.

Get Him!

Write a note informing him that he needs to stop being a dickbag or his vehicle will continue to receive "personal touchups".

Tape this note to a brick (or large rock) and place it on his front seat, through the closed driver's side window.

This should make him realize that he has a secret admirer who isn't fond of him or his douchebaggery!
