Sell my car now or hold off for a while?

So the transmission recently gave out on my '96 RL and its not worth spending money to get it fixed. That leaves me in the situation of having to drive my '06 Miata around as a daily driver. I was planning on selling my car sometime in the spring (that's when I'd be able to get the most money for it) but if I do hold on to it I need invest in some snow tires since its finally looking like winter outside in the Chicagoland area. That would be a $700+ investment for about 2 months worth of driving. Am I better off just trying to just unload the car now knowing I'll most likely take some sort of hit on it since its a convertible?

Yes! Wait till the sun is out and the convertable bug hits guys like me. Then sell the snows as used next winter.

Cars are a PITA, if you are smart you'd hook up with the fat chick at work and get some free rides...to and from work that is.

Put it up now and see what bites. Wouldn't hurt.

What are you planning to get next?

Currently considering the FR-S, BRZ, and Focus ST. If I do keep my car a while longer I'd like to check out the Fiesta ST as well.

I've been checking out the Miata forums but so far no luck.
