The sad thing is, since my acura is not a manual and I did not really have a choice since it was handed down to me, when it comes time for me to buy my own cars in the future it will be harder to find the cars I love with manuals (This is assuming I love the manual, which I'm sure of it). I just hope in 10 years the M3 will still have a manual gearbox . I know the GTI I get as my next car will definitely be a manual (unless I somehow don't like it when i'm prepared to buy it).

For me it also depends what kind of gearbox it is. Wasnt too pleased with BMWs manual trannys but Hondas... YUM. That made driving a manual enjoyable.
I have to say I was shocked how much the M3's auto acted like a manual. I guess it has something to do with the fact there's technically no "Park" to put it in, you have to apply the parking brake while it's in neutral. Also the way it held gears was damn impressive. Not like my CL-S' auto that was holding gears because it was about to implode.
