I just got my V1 in the mail today (after getting a speeding ticket last week). I didn't even consider anything else.

I drive 80 miles round trip each day in a bright blue 350Z. I never go far above the speed limit, but I still get pulled over.

My car is a target for the police, so I need the extra protection of a radar detector.

BTW, when I was pulled over, I wasn't even going the fastest in the group of cars I was in, but of course the sports car gets picked on. I got nailed for going 8mph over the speed limit. Can anyone seriously say they drive never drive 8mph above the speed limit?

The detector is an extra layer of prevention, not a license to drive crazy which I never do.

Go to http://www.speedzones.com/

It has all the answers you would need. It is a decent detector, but as you can see from many of the tests the V1 performs better.
