Also I am with you it is crazy scary sometimes wondering if that thing will stop. It does it just doesn't feel like it sometimes. Probably has something to do that I am still on stock brake fluid at almost 110k miles. Pedal feel sucks.

I always feel like I have to stop sooner in it than any other car I have ever driven. It is the complete opposite of my ISF which I felt it could throw you through the windshield if you got on it hard enough.

White doesn't sound like a great idea. Thinking yellow at this point.

The V feels soft because it's fat (20% heavier than the F)..
and long (several inches longer than F)..
But I'd never lose confidence in the brakes.
They hit and have great fade resistance.
The bias on the V might also be more distributed, which is funky.
The rear rotor on the V is bigger than the front rotor on the F.
That being said.. get some new fluid and pads brah

From 70 to 0 the F stops a few feet shorter than the V.
Not bad. Both bad compared to new M3 though and some others.
Now J's Audi S4.. couldn't find the 70 to 0.. but 60 to 0 it stops in 107 ft.
The CTS-V stops in 104 ft.
Shit.

You have a built motor putting nearly 50% more power down.. and you haven't done shit to the brakes

Rotors better be huge the car is huge and heavy
New fluid is a definite must I agree been putting it off cause it is probably my most hated thing on cars. Might even pay someone to do it I hate it so much.

I mean I don't really believe the V stops much worse than the F. However, the feeling cause of the extra weight makes it seem like it takes so much longer. I can't still cause whiplash no problem with the V brakes if I want.

I bought new pads and went to change them 5k miles ago but when I pulled the current pads out and measured them they were still well within spec so wasn't going to waste them. Still had half the life left. That being said I could have destroyed the pads cause of heat on my dragon torture run where I had the brakes smoking when I finished.

Still lighter than E63, Panny, etc
Two piece rotors FTW
Bro.. brake fluid a pain.. the hell you say.
I've done some painful maintenance on the car.. but brake fluid.. nah.

who the fuck would want to see that (other than you).
Wiper blades ordered...I tried silicone spray and cleaning them...shit, that made them hos streak worse in a bad rain this morning.
Also, Kurt hitch receiver ordered...shit yeah, I like being able to take my car to go kayak or bike.
Plus, I may or may not have the stock mufflers down and out of the way in the next week

Wow. The fuckin' glue guy is obsessed with 60-0 brake tests.
That's a weird fetish. Even around these parts.

Maj, I haven't pulled pads but to answer your question I missed...
It looks to be one massive piston, maybe one on each side, the design of the caliper doesn't
look 4 pot to me...maybe it is. I'm telling you though, that motherfucker is an abrupt stop around town.
